How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The past perfect is made from the verb had and the past participle of a verb: I had finished the work. She had gone.
Signal words for the past perfect include already, just, once, never, not yet, until that moment, etc. Some of these signal words are the same as those for the present perfect, so it`s important to note that words for the past perfect refer to the past.
Meg ran two marathons last year. (Simple Past: We know Meg ran two marathons in the past, and the time period the action started in and finished in—last year—has ended.) Meg has run two marathons this year. (Present perfect: We know Meg started running marathons this year.
When do you use simple past tense? We use the simple past tense to refer to actions or states that happened in the past and are finished and completed. For example, the sentence Samantha played baseball says that Samantha started and finished playing baseball sometime in the past. She isn`t playing baseball right now.
We use when + past perfect to talk about an action that happened immediately before something else … When we`d done the washing-up, we watched TV. (We did the washing-up, and then we watched TV.)
We use Simple Past if we give past events in the order in which they occured. However, when we look back from a certain time in the past to tell what had happened before, we use Past Perfect.
The past perfect shows the earlier action and the past simple shows the later action. When the police arrived, the thief had escaped. It doesn`t matter in which order we say the two events. The following sentence has the same meaning.
The present simple tense is used to talk about routines, facts, states that are permanent, and things that are true. The past simple tense is used to talk about completed actions, regular actions, and successive actions in the past.
The present perfect is used when the time period has NOT finished. I have seen three movies this week. (This week has not finished yet.) The simple past is used when the time period HAS finished.
POSITIVE SENTENCES:

Subject + had + 3rd form of verb + object. Examples: He had gone to America in his childhood. She had finished her work.

The past perfect continuous tense can be formed by using the formula. Subject + had + been + present participle (verb+ing) + since/for (if needed) + the rest of the sentence. Past Perfect Tense is used when the action started in the past and finished in past.

I was using the saw as a chain saw last weekend to cut up an old tree stump when the chain came off. I don’t know how to access it to put it back on and don’t have a user manual. The saw belonged to my late father and I don’t know if he even kept the manual.
ANSWER : You will have to remove the cover on the side the chain bar goes into. There should be one or two nuts holding the cover on the side. The is also a chain tension adjuster you may have to loosen to put it back on. Make note of the direction of the teeth on the chain. It is an directional chain. The tension adjuster is usually a flat head screw on the front side right beside the chain bar.Unless it is a really old saw, manuals are available from most manufacturers for free download. See if you can locate a brand name and model number.
