New kawasaki Hedge Trimmer khs750B/BC

Anyone any ideas why this is happening- is it something to do with the fuel supply?
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
Answered your own question : generally the fuel supply to the motor is through a small hole at the base of the tank , at full you could probably tilt more aggressively and the line is getting fuel , however as the fuel runs down the fuel is on one side of the tank and is essentially not getting fed to the motor , you’ll notice tilting it from horizontal to left you will get cut off , tilt to right it’ll keep running depends on the locations of fuel line however , cars pre fuel pump days had similar problems

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the hedge trimmer. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the fuel filter and prevent the engine from starting.
If your engine runs, but the trimmer blades do not move when the throttle is engaged, the clutch may be broken or improperly tensioned. The clutch is attached to the crankshaft, and engages the gearbox to start rotating once a certain rotational speed is reached.
If the hedge trimmer won`t start the recoil starter assembly might not be engaging with the crankshaft and turning over the engine. Remove the starter assembly to see if it is functioning properly. The recoil starter pulley winds up the starter rope when the rope is not in use.
Proper maintenance and lubrication of your hedge trimmer`s blades will usually prevent this from occurring. A good degreaser cleaner will help fix this problem and sometimes you may be able to use a small screw driver or brush to remove any build up you come across.
The carburetor might be clogged. A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the string trimmer for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance.
A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the hedge trimmer for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to stall or run roughly.
Use your right hand to pull the starter grip quickly. Once the engine attempts to run, move the auto-choke lever to the run position (vertical line). Pull the starter grip again until the engine runs, let it run for about 15-30 seconds before operating the hedge trimmer.
For best operation and longer blade life, lubricate the hedge trimmer blade with a lightweight machine oil before and after each use.
This can be due to corrosion, scratches or general wear. As a result, the cutting edges of the cutter comb of your blades are no longer sharp, reducing their ability to cut. Sharpening the blade is required to reface the cutting surfaces restore these sharp edges.
The most common problem with a strimmer not starting is that there`s a problem with the fuel mix. Double check that you`ve used 40 parts fresh unleaded petrol to 1 part 2-stroke oil (40:1). Check the petrol you`ve used isn`t stale.
Drained/ Dead Battery

If your trimmer won`t turn on, especially if it has not been used recently, you may simply have a drained battery. Plug your trimmer into your charger and see if anything happens. Ideally your trimmer will recognize it has been connected to a power source and charge its battery.

An electric trimmer`s power cord, switch, or motor may fail. A gas trimmer`s engine may be faulty. The air filter or exhaust port may be blocked. The trimmer may need lubrication and cooling fins or air passages may be blocked.
