There is a plug underneath the mower you need to remove the blade carrier from the crankshaft if it is a circular blade carrier the look for a protruding or internal square this is the plug if it is the protruding square you can use a shifter otherwise you will need a piece of square steel that will fit in the internal square so you can use a shifter on it or a proper sump plug spanner. It is wise to run the engine to normal operating temperature so that all the muck will be in suspension in the oil when you drain it from the engine
