How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
Your zero turn mower is weak on one side because of one or more of many reasons: traction adjustment being wrong, dragging drum brake, bad dampers, incorrect balance, tire compression does not match, or there is air trapped in the hydrostatic motor.
If the tire pressures are different on each side, it can cause one side of the mower to engage less than the other. To fix this problem, you must inspect if both tires have the same pressure using a tire gauge. Once you verify that they`re unmatched, you must inflate the tires with the necessary pressure.
On most cars the switch is mounted on the gear box and it is operated automatically when reverse gear is selected. If the lights were added after the car was made, the switch may be a manually operated one mounted on the dash.
The neutral safety switch is located in the linkage or inside the transmission case which allows the vehicle to shift gear.
The DONBAR was developed to assist in the mounting and dismounting of a zero-turn lawn mower. The DONBAR provides stability and balance for people facing physical and/or strength challenges by offering an extra point of contact when climbing on and off a mower or moving from a sitting to a standing position.
Zero-Turn Mowers: Purge Your Hydraulic Drive System. Zero turn hydrostatic transmission problems can start with air in the system, a condition known as cavitation. When the pump is full of air instead of oil, it can`t generate the pressure needed to provide power. This is pretty common in zero-turn mower transmissions.
The drive wheels of a zero turn mower are controlled by two independent wheel motors. The ability for one wheel of the mower to turn forward while the other wheel moves in reverse is what allows the mower to turn in a zero-degree radius. Operators can make the wheels move in the same or different directions.

PTO will not engage on my 0 turn Cub Cadet RZT 50. What should I check and how do I check it?
See if the switch is getting power to it and if it is see if the clutch is getting power. it needs 12 volts in order to engage.
Cub Cadet zero turn. Cannot get the blades to turn when PTO switch is pulled. Belts are fine and attached. Please help.
I had the same problem. there was a short in the relay just before the wire gets to to back pulley assembly.
On my cu cadet zero turn only the left side turns and the right side moans but wont move ever with the release lever to free wheel released
Check the hydraulic oil level for the hydrostat drives(if it has a reserve tank located under the seat. Some ZT’s don’t have the reserve tank. Don’t over fill that tank. 1/4 inch above the bottom is all it needs.)
Also, check the steering arm bolts. Very often they work themselves loose and the arm doesn’t pull the valve rod that controls the hydrostat unit.
How do I wire the starter solenoid for my 2005 Cub Cadet RZT 50…?
I just put new battery in will not start is it fuse ? if so where is it located
The fuse is close to the starter solinoid about center above the battery.Follow the battery cables to it.Probably tucked in under the lip. Dont forget it will not turn over without the parking brake on.Also you cant fold the levers in without turning the parking brake off.
I have a cub cadet rzt50 mower…Need to replace a tire
There is a thru bolt, and inside and outside bushing, and center sleeve. Remove those to remove the wheel. Obviously support the frame on a jack. Most tires can be removed using a slight soapy solution and 2 smooth screwdrivers. Replacement, use a soapy solution around the bead, and using only hand pressure put the tire back on. Use a cinch strap around the center of the tire to help keep the tire beads against the rim and air it back up.
I have a 20 hp z force 44 and the mower blades wont come on . I have changed the pto switch and the safety switch under the seat. I have also checked the fuse and its good. what else is there?
Hi, check you have voltage at the pto plug in connector when the mower is running and the pto switch on. If so the pto needs replacing. If not you have a bad contact or broken wire somewhere. Hope this helps, regards Phil.
