Power Take-Off (PTO) Stub
The tractor`s stub shaft, often called the PTO, transfers power from the tractor to the PTO-driven machine or implement. Power transfer is accomplished by connecting a drive shaft from the machinery to the tractor`s PTO stub shaft.

ANSWER : If you have tried a new sensor and a new switch the the next step is to replace the pto solenoid valve.If that proves fruitless then the b.c.u.needs to be replaced or bypassed.The solenoid valve will cure your problem 90% of the time.If that does not work,let me know,i can tell you how to by-pass the b.c.u..

My cub cadet 2165 PTO clutch has no voltage getting to it to activate it. the normally closed switch is ok. could it be the relay? how do I test it?
ANSWER : On my cub the blades keep shutting down when im mowing . I replace the pto switch and it doesnt help .. got a recommendation

How does it start
ANSWER : You need to disengage the pto or the seat switch is not working.Try bouncing on the seat a few times and take a look at the pto switch wires,let me know what you find out.

JD 6400 tractor, PTO light flashes when engaged but PTO does not work.
ANSWER : The most likely problem is the pto solenoid valve on the rear of the tractor.It could be the speed sensor but you won’t know until you get the codes read by the dealer.I have had to replace the b.c.u. for this problem but it is not common.

Turned pto off when finished mowing then turned it back on and it does not come on
ANSWER : Check the wiring to the PTO first. if it is good either the PTO or its inline fuse has failed. try the fuse first as it is much cheaper. if it just blows again you are back to replacing the PTO.

I have a electric pto that come off a cub cadet and the part number of the pto is 5219-25 its a warner. My question is one of the wires have pulled loose in side the magnet are there any way to remove the magnet or take the pto apart? the wire is broke off inside the magnet. Thank you
ANSWER : Most likely you cannot repair this as the wire ususally breaks off inside. If you remove the assembly, you can see where the wires go into the potted coil. If there is no excess wire to reconnect to then your only choice is to replace.

ANSWER : The clutch has it’s own brearings in it. You have to replace the hole PTO.Sometimes you can find a Aftermarket PTO clutch. There usually A little cheaper.

I have a Sears 26 hp garden tractor that stalls when I let off of the clutch/brake or engage the mower blades. I have bypassed the under seat swith, and I have also bypassed the clutch/brake switch. The mower will not stall out untill I engage the mower. Any ideas on what else might be the problem?
ANSWER : Does it run off of a pto system or is it a lver type if its a lever type there is a switch under the lever also you might have something caught in the deck causeing it not to engage blades if i can further help e-mail me wade at [email protected]
