While braking, you should always depress the clutch.

This is one of the most common scenarios wherein people do apply the brakes but forget to disengage the clutch in-turn stalling the car. Well, stalling the car especially with transmission load will take a serious toll on your vehicle`s gearbox assembly.

The dead pedal serves two main purposes in cars. It acts as a footrest for the left foot, for the comfort of the driver. In cars with manual transmissions, it helps keep the driver from riding the clutch, a dangerous practice of keeping the clutch partially disengaged while driving.
Clutch slipping can be dangerous, as it can cause the car to lose power while accelerating, and make it difficult to control the vehicle. It is a frustrating experience for anyone driving a manual vehicle and is a common problem that can have a number of causes.
You have to press the clutch before the brake pedal if your speed is less than the lowest speed of the gear you are in. You can find the lowest speed of the gear by simple releasing the clutch and not using the accelerator.
The Brakes slow you down – not the CLUTCH. So, Why Are You Pulling the Clutch Lever In. During an emergency stop, the clutch is an extra control and will take away much needed concentration from the brakes – the important controls. In fact, if you pull the clutch in while you brake, it will just make you go faster.
to make less effort and start to relax. Synonyms and related words. To rest, relax or do nothing. sit back.
No , you don`t use the clutch when braking / slowing down the vehicle . Clutch connects the drivetrain to the engine , pressing the clutch will disconnect the drivetrain from the engine and your wheels will start moving at even more speed thus increasing your stopping distance .
Wherever you drive – you always hit the clutch first and then the brake even when it`s not needed. Remember this that hitting brake without hitting clutch helps you brake quicker because the friction provided by engine aids you in slowing down fast (Read up about Engine braking).
