If the drive cable is broken or detached, the trimmer head will not spin. To inspect the drive cable, remove the engine assembly from the shaft and look to see if the cable is in its proper place. Reinstall the cable if it has slipped from its place. If the cable is damaged or broken, it should be replaced altogether.
The trimmer line is crossed on the spool: If the trimmer line becomes crossed on the spool while being loaded, this can cause it to refuse to come out during trimming. Be sure to load trimmer string onto the trimmer straight without crossing over the lines to avoid this problem while trimming.
If the drive shaft is broken, the string trimmer head won`t spin. The drive shaft is not repairable—if the drive shaft is broken, you must replace it. Need help finding your model number? If the threads on the drive shaft are stripped, the trimmer head will not stay on the shaft.
Checking for debris or damaged blades: Visually inspect the blades and confirm there is no debris stopping the blades from moving. If there is debris ensure the machine is powered off when removing any blockages. Check the blades for any damage as a damaged cutting blade could cause the machine to stop working.
When your trimmer starts and runs on choke, it could be because the check valve in the gas cap is clogged. Start the trimmer and gently unscrew the gas cap halfway off. Turn the choke off and assess. If the engine is still running, that means the gas cap may be the culprit.
Twisted trimmer line has a better cutting edge and is stronger than round line. Normally used to cut back thick, heavy weeds, this trimmer line delivers clean cuts while reducing trimmer vibrations and noise levels. The added strength also helps decrease line wear and breakage when hitting hard surfaces.
It is possible that your shaver does not turn on or move because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to be blocked. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving head and clean your shaver from the inside as well.
Charge the battery.
Detach the trimming head and switch on the trimmer. Is the motor running and pin rotating, then both the battery and handle are okay. If not, the battery of the trimmer has run out. Reattach the head to the trimmer and recharge the nose hair trimmer.

I need to replace to fuel lines on a Craftman 32cc trimmer. The old ones cracked apart. 2 of the lines look like 1/8″ OD one line looks like 3/32″ OD. Larger line looks like it hooks to filter, Smaller line to a fitting in the gas tank. I am assuming the smaller line ges to the primer inlet. My question is the lines penetrate the bottom of the gas tank. How do they seal. How do I install the filter and the fitting. I am assuming to thread the new lines in from the bottom of the tank and pull through the gas cap hole. Then I attach filter or fitting and pull back through. So do I pull the line so as to create a seal from the swell caused by the fitting/filter?
ANSWER : Depending on the brand of line you use, Tygon line is self sealing but seems to shrink faster then factory supplied because of the ethanol in the gas. The stone gas filter is designed to fall to the lowest part of the tank, not stop the line from falling out.

Fuel line goes into tank bottom line has filter how long is the top fuel line? this is coming from the primer bulb.
ANSWER : Fuel Line Replacement by SmallEng.com
The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, an output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly.
The line with the filter needs to be long enough to reach all parts of the tank as the saw is moved, a little to long is probably better than to short. The line returning from the primer is not critical so long as it cannot fall out (mid tank). All the primer line does is return excess fuel to the tank. Does this answer your question?
