The incorrect plug gap for your engine can contribute to a high rate of misfires, loss of power, plug fouling, poor fuel economy and accelerated plug wear. It is always best to check the gap against the manufacturer`s specifications.
Every time a spark plug creates an arc of electricity, it very minimally shortens the electrodes. Over time, the gap between the electrodes grows larger. As this gap increases, more electricity is needed to spark ignition of the air/fuel mixture.

ANSWER : .010 make sure its not on backwards some have an arrow molded on them to show wich way flywheel turns and make sure grounw wire is not pinched against metal that will shot the coil hope this helps

How come no spark?
ANSWER : I would change the plug first and check to see if the coil is firing by grounding out the plug and see if there is fire. If not the ignition coil or unit maybe bad. Hope this helps.
