Please note that, because the Craftsman B2200`s engine is a 2-cycle one, it runs on a mixture of oil and gasoline. According to Craftsman, the proper fuel mixture ratio for this blower is 40:1.
Fuel Mix. According to Stihl, gas and oil for leaf blowers should be mixed at a ratio of 50 parts gas to 1 part oil. This amounts to about 2.6 ounces of oil to each gallon of gas.
Craftsman leaf blowers often include a two cycle engine oil with every purchase of their equipment. Most models from this brand call for a 40 to 1 gas to oil mix, so you will need 3.2 ounces of that oil per US gallon of gas.
Like other gas-powered tools, handheld gas leaf blowers can be built using two types of engines: 2-cycle engines. 4-cycle engines.
Can you use 50 1 in a leaf blower? A: Yes, simply pour it into the gas tanks of 2 cycle engines. I use it in a chainsaw, blower, and weed wacker.
Cubic feet per minute (CFM) is a measurement of the volume of air a leaf blower can produce at wide-open throttle (WOT). The measurement tells us how much space in cubic feet you can fill with air in one minute. The higher the CFM, the larger the area your blower effects and the better you can keep objects moving.
Per the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the specific ratio – the ratio of the discharge pressure over the suction pressure – is used for defining fans, blowers and compressors. Fans have a specific ratio of up to 1.11, blowers from 1.11 to 1.20 and compressors have more than 1.20.
Most modern chainsaws, string trimmers, leaf blowers and other small-engine two-stroke equipment recommend a 50:1 oil mix ratio, but some recommend 40:1 and older two-stroke equipment might even call for 32:1.
One gallon of gasoline combined with 3.2 oz of two-cycle engine oil. Unsure of the age of your equipment? Use the 40:1 mixture. All of our handheld two-cycle units can operate on a 40:1 two-cycle oil mix ratio.
Combat user fatigue without sacrificing power with the CRAFTSMAN® B2000 Gas Leaf Blower. The 25 cc, 2-cycle gas engine is both lightweight and powerful, with high performance air volume and air speed up to 410 CFM/180 MPH.
With a high leaf blower CFM, a user can clear a large pile of leaves but not blow the leaves as far. With a high MPH leaf blower, a user can push a pile of leaves far away, but the pile will be smaller.
What is the right gas-oil mix for leaf blower? The right gas to oil ratio will depend on your backpack leaf blower. Usually, a two-cycle engine uses a 50:1 or 40:1 2 stroke oil to gas ratio. But to know the exact measurements of the oil and gas you need to mix, it is best to go and check your owner`s manual.
Two-cycle engines, like those in leaf blowers, require a gas and oil mix — the oil is a special type designed to mix with gas, and not motor oil. The oil bottles will generally be for mixing with either a gallon of gas or 2½ gallons of gas, depending on the volume of the oil.
Please be aware that 2-cycle engines like this one require a mixture of gas and oil in order to run. For the Craftsman B250, this ratio is 40:1.

I have a Toro 51598 electric leaf blower. Last year a breaker in the electrical box tripped and the blower naturally stopped. But, the episode seemed to have damaged the variable-air-flow-dial which on the blower – it was either on or off, nothing inbetween worked. This year, after some solid hours of operation, it just stopped working regardless of where where the variable-air-flow-dial was set. It is worth replacing that variable-air-flow-dial and some related components, or is there likely something else wrong with it? The bushings seem fine.
ANSWER : These machines are considered “disposable” items and most service centers won’t even repair them, saying that it is not “cost effective.” I have never come across a parts list for one other than maybe the plastic housing on them (they may exist), but costwise you may be better off getting another tool unless the Toro is still under warranty.
