All 2-cycle chain saws use a proper mix of gas and oil – ECHO recommends a 50:1 mix which is equal to 2.6 fluid ounce of oil for each (1) gallon of gas.
The fuel and oil mixture should always be 2% (50:1).
The general ratio for most two-stroke chain saw combustion engines is 50:1, though some manufacturers recommend 40:1. The larger number represents the amount of gasoline, while the smaller is the amount of oil needed.
Your Echo chainsaw is a two-stroke engine that takes a mixture of unleaded gasoline and two-stroke motor oil at a ration of 50 to 1.
If your manufacturer recommends a 50:1 fuel/oil mix, it means you need 50 parts of gas to one part two-stroke oil. To mix one gallon of fuel at 50:1, add 2.6 ounces of two-stroke oil to one gallon of gas, as shown in the chart below.
For a 40:1 mixture, use 3.2 fluid ounces of oil per gallon of gas. For a 32:1 mixture, use 4 fluid ounces of oil per gallon of gas.
The safest bet for any concrete mix is four-two-one: four parts crushed rock; two parts sand; and one part cement.
If you have a 1:3 dilution, i.e., a 1:3 dilution ratio, this means that you add 1 unit volume of solute (e.g., concentrate) to 3 unit volumes of the solvent (e.g., water), which will give a total of 4 units of volume.
The components typically need to be combined in the ratio 1:2:3:0.5 to produce concrete with the highest strength. In that ratio, there is 1 component of cement, two parts sand, three parts gravel, and 0.5 part water.
Echo chainsaws have two-stroke, air-cooled engines that require a mix of unleaded gasoline and two-stroke motor oil with a ratio of 50:1.

DCS520 PETROL/OIL RATIO
40 to one is a good mix
What kind of oil in the oil tank and how much for the remington electric pole saw ?
Bar & chain oil is the best. You can use regular or synthetic. Some say you can use atf (auto transmission fluid) or sae30 oil. I use bar & chain oil.
What is ment by 50 to 1 mix
50 to one is a ratio of fuel to lubricating oil. Typically 50 parts petrol/gasoline to one part two stroke oil.
Oil typically comes in a special plastic bottle that incoporates a measure. Simply squeeze the right ammount of oil into the little chamber and add to 5 litres of gas.
Oil-gas ratio – Homelite ZR10926 16 Chain Saw
What oil ratio to petrol do I use?
40:1 is the recommended ratio for this type of engine.
If you cannot measure accurately you should tend towards more oil rather than less. That will protect your engine and the only downside will be a slightly smokier exhaust and possible oiling of the plug over time.
Do I need gas and oil mix – Poulan Super 250a Chainsaw Plate
I think Poulan uses a 40:1 ratio to one gallon of gas, however I have always used 50:1 the same as my sthl saws with no issue. I would rather have more oil mix that to little.
Is 10-30w car oil ??? Okay to use as the Oil on the Chainsaw Bar of a Remington Pole Saw Model 106890-02?
Car engine oil has not got a non fling addative so will just spray off the end of the bar and not lubricate the chain where it does most of its cutting, on the underside of the bar.
My 290 isn’t oiling chain. I tried adjusting oil flow and still no oil?
You have to remove the bar and clean it out
