I know this brushcutter uses 2 stroke but i don't know the dilution ratio and the manual has been misplaced
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
When in doubt add to much oil. In Stihl units it calls for a 50:1 ratio but I run about 40:1 in all the new ones I sell and the old ones I repair. The thing with adding to much oil is it may clog the spark arrester screen and it will blow a lot of blue smoke, but better to have to much oil then not enough

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

If you are finding yourself wondering what can be used, please be assured that Regular unleaded 98, 95, 95 E5 or E10 petrol can be used in most petrol garden machinery products; however do not use any petrol containing more than 10% ethanol. This will cause corrosion damage to fuel system components.
In most cases, E10 from petrol forecourts can still be used in power tools, but some manufacturers, such as Mountfield, say that it is best to use Super Unleaded petrol (which still contains just 5% ethanol) or completely ethanol-free fuels.
Your strimmer runs off a mix of semi-synthetic 2-stroke oil and unleaded petrol (40:1). Our petrol tools come with a measuring jug with guide lines. Find the side marked 40:1, add your petrol to the first line and your 2-stroke oil to the second. Replace the jugs lid and shake the mixture for around a minute.
E5 petrol is made up of 95 per cent unleaded petrol plus 5 per cent ethanol (which is why it`s named `E5`). E10 petrol is much more beneficial to the environment, containing 10% ethanol and 90% regular unleaded petrol – and was introduced to help the government meet its climate change targets.
You will need to mix fresh unleaded petrol (not older than 4-6 weeks) with 2-stroke engine oil, at a 40:1 ratio. Please use the mixing bottle provided.
E10 fuel is only an issue in your Mountfield lawnmower if it is left to sit inside the mower or stored for longer than 30 days and allowed to go stale. If you only add the amount of petrol you require and replenish with fresh petrol each time you use your mower, you are unlikely to experience any running issues.
Will your mower run on E10 fuel? The answer to this is yes it will – but you must be on the ball with your fuel hygiene, use a fuel stabiliser or alternative such as Aspen. The problem with ethanol in fuel is that it is hygroscopic.
Any octane of gas available at your local gas station should work fine in your lawnmower, as long as you avoid the diesel section. High octanes won`t necessarily improve your lawnmower`s performance, but they won`t hurt the engine.
Petrol stations that offer 2 grades of petrol will stock E10 (95 octane) and E5 (97+ octane) petrol.
Most, but not all, modern cars can use E10, so it`s important you check first before filling up with E10 fuel. The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries says some E10 unleaded petrol blends are marketed as 94 RON. That means they do not meet the fuel standards for cars recommended to use 95 or 98 premium fuels.
With that said, E10 petrol has less energy per litre than E5 or petrol with no ethanol, so, like we said, your car will almost certainly burn more of it. Which then means you have to fill up more often.
As a rule, E10 fuel is compatible with all STIHL chain saws and power tools, as well as VIKING gardening tools with engines by Briggs & Stratton, Kawasaki and Kohler. A carburetor adjustment may be required in order to compensate for the changed fuel composition.

Why will my1994 bravada not start?
ANSWER : Very possible your new pump went out again, or was not installed correctly. Check fuel pressure. If you know electrical you can jumper the relay to run the pump. On some GM models I have seen a test wire for the pump underhood.

Have a craftsman 16″ chain saw 358.360260. Could not initially get it started after it had sat for a couple years with fuel stabilizer in it. When I went to use it the fuel had all evaporated and the fuel pick line was rotted. I replaced that with some difficulty but finally got it on. Saw still wouldn’t start. Replaced the fuel filter. Still wouldn’t start. Pulled the carb apart and cleaned and recleaned everything. Diaphragms were good and I didn’t adjust any of the mixture screws because as I said it ran fine before storage. Non of the carb passages were clogged. Fresh gas 40:1, good spark plug and good spark. Airfilter is good. Engine has maybe about 4 hours of total run time on it. It’s a ZAMA (?) carb. It will run for about 30 seconds when I manually prime it by pouring a small amount of fuel directly though the carb. When I was disassembling the carb the vent hose that goes back into the fuel tank seemed to have a small out of ?substance? in it which I cleaned out. It was right at the end the of the hose that goes back into the fuel tank and not up by the carb. It didn’t appear to be like your typical gummy deposits/varnish though. I hope it wasn?t some type of spongy check valve stuff that is supposed to be in there. That might explain some of my problems. Anyway, I also can not seem to get the primer bulb to fill. When I open the fuel tank, look in side and depress the primer bulb, air bubbles come out of the fuel filter. But when I let the bulb reexpand there’s no fuel that gets sucked up the hose. I can however seem to fill the primer bulb when the fuel tank is full and the chainsaw is laying on it?s pull cord side and the bulb is depressed a bunch of times. The saw will also start and run again for about 15 seconds then die. It’s definitely not getting/fuel and probably running out . Thanks.

Replaceing fuel line in polan 3300 chain saw – Poulan Pro 42CC 2 Cycle Chainsaw, 18"
ANSWER : Hi owjbhend…
Use a piece of wire and insert it into the fuel line, then bend a hook in the end and hook it over the end of the fuel line…lubricate the fuel line with some vaseoline very lightly…about the first one inch of the fuel line and then use your fingers to start the fuel line into the tank, once you have the fuel line in the tank give enough to hook the fuel filter to and so it can be dropped back into the tank.
Below is a drawing of how to route the fuel lines.

How do I change the fuel filter on my 3020 John Deere diesel tractor
ANSWER : Leaving the fuel valve on the tank in the on position will allow fuel to run through the line & keep the air purged during removal. On the other side between the pump & the filter, having the new filter topped off & speedily installed will lessen the chance of air entering the line. Once the filter is installed, open the bleed screw at the top of the filter. Just my redneck way.

Homelite d3350b what is fuel oil mix i was told i could use 50 to 1 because the new oils are better?????
ANSWER : Buy a good quality oil and mix it to the OIL manufacturers recommendation regardless of what the chainsaw manual says. If you are poking around the barn and find an old can of Homelite 2 cycle oil that says mix 25:1 mix it at that ratio.
All modern oils, chainsaws, and the EPA recommend 50:1. There has been great improvement in 2 cycle technology over the years. To rich a mix causes carbon build up on the piston that breaks loose and scores the piston and cylinder, and it stinks!
