The PTO rotation direction is defined when you are looking at the output at the front. As a result, the pump must operate in the opposite direction of the power take-off. One of the important details to check that the power take-off is correctly selected.

A power take-off is a gearbox that directs power from the engine and transfers that power to auxiliary equipment through the rotation of the PTO gears and the vehicle transmission gears meshing. The power is generated from the truck`s engine power and is used to power the piece of equipment on the vehicle application.
The tractor`s stub shaft, often called the PTO, transfers power from the tractor to the PTO-driven machine or implement. Power transfer is accomplished by connecting a drive shaft from the machinery to the tractor`s PTO stub shaft.
Reverse PTO can turn in the reverse direction using a lever or button. This is essential when operating implements that can get stuck such as a thresher or post hole digger. With economy PTO, the tractor operates at the required 540 rpm at the PTO, but with lower engine rpm.
The PTO drive should be disengaged when the joint angle exceeds 45 degrees or the joint angles are unequal. The maximum operating angle is 25 degrees. However for short periods at reduced output the maximum angle where contact between PTO drive shaft guard and rotating components is avoided is 45 degrees.
The Reverse Gear Working
The idle gear comes in between the countershaft gear and the output shaft gear. The idle gear makes the output shaft gear rotate in the opposite direction thus making the car move backwards.

ANSWER : Best way is to use an impact gun. second way would be to use a pipe wrench on the shaft if theres room. use some liquid wrench to loosen it up too

ANSWER : If you have tried a new sensor and a new switch the the next step is to replace the pto solenoid valve.If that proves fruitless then the b.c.u.needs to be replaced or bypassed.The solenoid valve will cure your problem 90% of the time.If that does not work,let me know,i can tell you how to by-pass the b.c.u..

ANSWER : Remove the clip from the pto shaft by squeezing it shut,push it in some then pull it out.Turn the shaft around and put it back in making sure the clip snaps back in place.

I have a electric pto that come off a cub cadet and the part number of the pto is 5219-25 its a warner. My question is one of the wires have pulled loose in side the magnet are there any way to remove the magnet or take the pto apart? the wire is broke off inside the magnet. Thank you
ANSWER : Most likely you cannot repair this as the wire ususally breaks off inside. If you remove the assembly, you can see where the wires go into the potted coil. If there is no excess wire to reconnect to then your only choice is to replace.

When you replace the pto clutch (717-04080), does it have a tight fit with a bracket or does it have a little play.
ANSWER : There shouldn’t be any play in it. This should fit snug unless you have rubber bushings on the bracket mount to help compensate the torque of the belt engaging.
