Could be a faulty oil seal between pump and engine?

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Water can enter the crank case due to: Condensation on the inside of the crank case. Bad oil seals between the crank case and pump head. Cracked crank case.
ENGINE OIL CAPACITY: 20 oz. PUMP OIL GRADE: SAE 20W-40 PUMP OIL CAPACITY: 5.0 oz.
No, you should not leave your pressure washer outside, even if it is rated for use during the rain. Every time your pressure washer is exposed to water, chances increase that it will be damaged by it. You probably made a big investment in your pressure washer, so don`t shorten its lifespan.
When changing or adding oil, do not overfill the engine crankcase. Overfilling oil may cause smoking, hard starting, spark plug fouling, and oil saturation of the air filter. Do not run the pressure washer before connecting and turning on the water supply failing to do so will result in damage to the pump.
If you have a broken or damaged head gasket, you can expect your oil and coolant to start mixing. Oil and coolant can also end up mixing if your engine overheats and either destroys the gasket or cracks the cylinder head.
The presence of water in a lubricating oil can cause the progress of oxidation to increase tenfold, resulting in premature aging of the oil, particularly in the presence of catalytic metals such as copper, lead and tin.
Although many electric pressure washers produce a pressure of about 1900 psi, you should only use a water pressure of 1500 psi or lower on your car.
The unit of measurement is either PSI or Bar. The ideal oil pressure varies depending on the car brand and model, but generally, the ideal oil pressure is between 25-65 PSI.
It Can Harm The Unit

A pressure washer requires water to cool and lubricate the pump, which is the part responsible for pushing water from the supply hose to the nozzle. Without water to cool and lubricate it, the pump will work harder than it should, causing it to wear down quickly.

It damages your equipment, causing you down time and costly repairs. Hard water is particularly damaging to pressure washers, and can shorten their life expectancy. Scaly deposits form inside the pressure washer heating coils, reducing the flow of water and minimizing the heat exchange.
If the oil level is a little above the full mark, that shouldn`t cause problems. If it`s overfilled by half a quart or more, or foam shows on the dipstick, the best fix is to have the oil drained and refilled to the proper level.
Consult your owner`s manual for specific guidance on checking your car`s dipstick. There are other indicators that will suggest you have an overfill problem, including blue exhaust smoke, a burning smell, an oil leak, or a high reading on your oil pressure gauge (if equipped).
When the water pump fails, it can cause coolant to leak into the oil, which can lead to engine problems. If you notice this happening, it`s important to take your vehicle to a mechanic as soon as possible.
Engine Oil Is Contaminated:

Fuel or coolant in the oil will cause low engine oil pressure. Excess fluids in the oil consequently will cause high oil levels in the crankcase.

A mixture of oil and water is called an emulsion. An emulsion is defined as a mixture of two liquids which do not combine.

ANSWER : Sounds like the unloader (regulator). Try removing the nozzle, the pull the trigger with the engine running. If motor is still running then it could be the Unloader malfunctioning. If you require a new one try a bypass system for the unloader. The bypass will help save the life of the unloader.

My Honda 2600 psi power washer will not pull to start. It was running great then I allowed the neighbor to borrow it. He ran the washer till it was out of gas and proceeded to refuel and at this point it would no longer start. The pull cord is out about 4-6 inches out and I am concerned about taking the casing off myself.

Fearing that it may throw more off on the unit. If i take the casing off are there any spring loaded parts that will dismount?

What should I do? Spark Plug? Turn wrenches?

Please let me know

ANSWER : You should be fine to take the recoil off, there shouldn’t be anything that shoots out at you. You might want to check the oil level on the engine, many of the Honda engines won’t start unless there is enough oil in them. If your oil level is fine, check to make sure that your motor is getting spark.

What oil do i use in the pump? The oil is milky and needs changing.
ANSWER : Well you can use direct recommended from Ace Hardware see link.

http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1340266

They recommend 250 hours, but i’d change more often, like you said when it’s milky. If it begins to get water in the oil sooner, that indicates your piston to crankcase seal is beginning to leak.
