Finding your model number and serial number is as easy as locating the identification tag on your machine. Depends on the trimmer, all heads are different. However, the majority of trimmers are wound as follows:
1. pop the top cover off the head, pull the spool out. It will be either single or double lined, they will be wound counter clock wise.
2. the end of each line goes out each of the seperate holes
3. slide spool back on and replace cover

Sharpen with a flat file. Its a long process as each tooth has 2 cutting edges. There are companies that will do this properly at cost.
My trimmer slows down when applied to material to cut; on its own it runs fine. its electric & feels like its going to stall when you’re cutting. what gives?

Did you wind in the new string in the correct direction? The string should be wound in the SAME direction that the head spins.
