If a mower is hard to start, it may be the result of a dirty carburetor and/or a clogged air filter. Use a screwdriver to remove the carburetor and clean any dirt out of it with a rag. Clean the air filter or replace it if it`s disposable.
For most effective results, a lawn mower deck should have a pitch of 1/8-inch to 1/2-inch between the height of the deck rear to the height of the deck front.
The signs of a loose mower deck belt include the mower belt slipping, the belt coming off the pulleys, a stretched belt, excessive vibration of the deck belt, a high pitched noise, rapid signs of wear and tear, and a shiny and glazed belt, among others.
Turn the adjusting lock nut clockwise to raise the mower and counterclockwise to lower it. Measure from the blade to the ground again on both sides and adjust until the difference between the blade tip heights are within ⅛ -inch. Rotate the blades so that their direction is now front to back.

Troy Bilt Rear tine tiller model 643 Bronco, won’t start,it ran out of gas, put in new gas and it started but wouldn’t stay running. Put in new spark plugs, cleaned filters, changed out gas,still won’t start

Pony wont start. i have replaced gas, cleaned carb, replaced plug. it will turn over but wont start. getting gas and fire.

2 days ago i mowed with my troy bilt pony and parked it . itried to start it yesterday and nothing? i checked the battery, its fully charged,mower is disengaged. iturn the key and nothing,not a sound.

Troy tiller won't crank – Troy-Bilt Pony Garden Tiller
ANSWER : Is it electric start or manual pull?? remove pulg and see if it cranks over. Could be mouse nest under recoil cover or under flywheel, could be rusted to the magnets. need more info. Oh yea make sure belts are not holding you back remove them or make sure they are loose.

How to start a Troy Bilt Tiller – Troy Bilt Pony 6.5 Hp Rear Tine Tiller
ANSWER : Make sure there is fuel and oil in the engine. There should either be a choke lever/setting or a primer bulb. Push the primer bulb, if there is one, or choke the engine. Make sure it is in neutral, and pull the starter. Should be all there is to it. If there is other info that is causing the machine not to start, please tell model number and what you have done in trying to start.
