Craftsman rider 917.259520, just replaced the engine pulley part #140186. The replacement parts drive pully was a bit larger than the original, after install I'm having trouble shifting gears with manual trans. Could the pulley size difference be causing this, is there an adjustment? I tried adjusting the clutch/brake, but no luck. Double checked part numbers to be correct in manual and on shipping list. Help!
Jeff

If the pulley is a bigger diameter it will make the belt too tight when de clutched, as the gearbox is a simple crash style bo, any movement or drag on the gearbox pulley will stop you engaging gears.
