OIL-30/10W-30 SYNTHETIC CK4 [QT]
Wide viscosity range allows for easy cold weather starting. Optimized for all Zero Turn Riding Mower Engine Configurations (TimeCutter® ® MX, Titan® and Titan® MX)
Changing your engine oil filter at routine service intervals improves ease of starting and keeps your engine operating at its peak performance. This Genuine Toro Oil Filter is designed specifically for your TimeCutter and ensures quality and reliability.
Toro SAE 30 4-cycle engine oil passed the strictest requirements in thousands of hours of testing in hundreds of engines before you filled your lawn mower. This oil meets or exceeds performance requirements of all OEM engines (Toro, Briggs & Stratton, KOLHER, Honda, and Tecumseh).
Zero turn lawnmowers will use a 20W-50 or 15W-50 synthetic motor oil. When trying to pinpoint the right oil for your mower, the first step should always be to check the manufacturer`s recommendations in your user manual. That will save you time; it`ll also ensure that you get the best-suited oil for your machine.
Is SAE 30 Oil The Same As 10W-30? No. Unlike SAE 30, SAE 10W-30 is multi grade oil. SAE 10W-30 has SAE 10W viscosity at a lower temperature and SAE 30 viscosity at a hotter operating temp.
TORO WINTER OIL, 5W30, 20-OZ PETRO DIST.
Formulated with fully synthetic base stocks and high levels of antioxidants to help prevent deposits and sludge build-up which enables long engine life.
There`s not usually a huge difference in quality from one brand of lawn mower oil filter to the next. Over the years I`ve used half a dozen brands, and they all work pretty much the same.
For easy starting and maximum engine protection in cold weather use Toro 5W-30 Winter Engine Oil. This 5W-30 grade oil is formulated with Hi- quality base oils. Recommended for use in Toro mowers with 4-Cycle engines.
Can I Use Motor Oil in My Lawn Mower? If the engine manufacturer`s operator manual recommends 10W-30 or 10W-40, the same motor oil types used in vehicles, then these can also be used in your lawn mower.
Lawnmowers don`t have the super tight clearances, compared to cars, that require 5w20 or 0w20 oil, etc. That I know of, 5w20 only comes in a full synthetic, or synthetic blend. Both are not ideal for a lawnmower. Stick with the 10w30 CONVENTIONAL oil, not synthetic oil.
While automotive engine oil, such as 10W-30 or 10W-40, can be used in a lawn mower engine, it is generally recommended that SAE 30 motor oil be used.
0W-40 and 5W-30 oils can be combined because 5W-30 is thicker oil than 0W-40, and the extra, lower viscosity will make the start-up oil flow easy and efficient. Temperature also plays a vital role in deciding if you can mix them. Both the oils are winter oils, so they`ll work well in cold temp regions like Europe.
