This means your Lay-Z-Spa pump is experiencing an electrical fault.
If an E5 error code appears on your CosySpa hot tub, please check the water line in the pool is between the maximum and minimum limits outlined on the inside of the liner. If the water is not between these levels, please adjust the water levels accordingly by emptying water or filling with water as needed.
In computing, an error code (or a return code) is a numeric or alphanumeric code that indicates the nature of an error and, when possible, why it occurred.
The E1 Error Code has been implemented to indicate when the Portable Control Unit (PCU) senses a fault with the temperature sensors. This fault may be a worn sensor, corroded connection or wiring.
During the use of the spa, the warmth of the water expands and contracts the filter housing plastic. If there is a small or invisible crack on the plastic housing, this can cause the E02 error code.
The problem could be due to a dirty spa filter. Remove the spa cartridge, clean the filters, and check the flow rate or pressure. Other causes could be a broken valve, clogged spa jets or pipes, or a broken pump impeller.
There are a few reasons why your hot tub may not be working properly: clogged parts, broken switches, a malfunctioning thermostat, a broken pump or a faulty heating element.
A hot tub flow error suggests that there`s a problem with the flow of water through your hot tub heater. Some of the most common codes are FLO, FL1 or FL2 for flow or pressure switches. The most common causes are a dirty or damaged filter, low water levels, air in the piping system or a faulty pump or sensor.
If the water stops flowing as soon as you reconnect the filter (and you then get E02), it means the filter is the only thing obstructing water flow. To fix: – Replace the filters!

My hot tub still trips the breaker, and i replaced it with a new gfci. What other things can i ck.
ANSWER : If your hot tub is pulling more amps than amps sent your breaker box, you’ll keep tripping the breaker. Check the rating on the hot tub and compare that to the breaker rating. You may need to uograde the wireing. Make sure the wire gauge is up to code.
Our hot tub keeps tripping the gfi breaker, but if we don’t put it on a gfi then it works fine. How do you fix this
ANSWER : The GFI is sensing a fault, and tripping to protect you. If there is another GFI in the circuit somewhere then you could use that normal receptacle. I mean if there is a GFI in the main panel.

Hot tub keeps running all night keeping me awake. How do you shut it off? It’s a Great Lakes.
ANSWER : If the system is the Jacuzzi 52221-05 system mentioned in the subject header, there could be a stuck relay causing the problem and you might need to get a spa technician out to assist you in repairing the problem. However…If it is a Great Lakes system as mentioned in your message body, then there could be a programming issue allowing the filter cycle to run continuously. Provide a model number off of the Balboa control. Then we can provide you an instruction manual or reference card to assist you in resolving this problem. you can also search our online manuals at our website. You can find them online at:BALBOA WATER GROUP INSTRUCTION MANUALS
My Balboa 500Z-Series Hot tub has been working fine for 6 months. Then today, without warning the lights started flashing and I could not turn them off from the light button. Additionally a code “Pr” appeared on the screen. I switched off the power for several minutes then switched back on and “–” appeared on the screen and the lights continued to flash. I pressed a number of different combinations and the message 5r appeared. This message does not appear on my owners manual. The water level is at the appropriate level and cannot think of a reason why this would take place other than a mechnical failure. Any ideas?
With thanks,
Craig Vogel
