“Toro” Super Blower/Vac
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
I would check and make sure there isnt debris in the impeller and that the impeller is tight. Also there may be 4 motor mount screws behind the impeller that have worked loose and are rubbing on the impeller- if so tighten with lock tite.
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
Leaf blowers are prone to accumulating dirt and debris such as leaves because of how they`re used, especially if your leaf blower also functions as a vacuum. The fan blade could also be broken or damaged, causing it to make a noise each time it rotates.
The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the leaf blower. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog the fuel filter and cause the engine to stall.
It`s most likely that the cause of vibration is an unsecured blower fan or motor. Sometimes, the blower motor can shake itself loose from the mounts that hold it in place, creating a loud vibrating sound as it runs. Contact a furnace expert to reconnect the fan or motor to the mounts that keep it in place.
Squealing and screeching sounds are usually due to an issue with the blower motor. The motor has bearings that are prone to drying over time. Motor bearing issues can usually be resolved by adding lubricant.
A defective blower motor will make a continuous sound noticeable by the passengers in the vehicle. It can manifest as a knocking, whirring, clunking, vibrating, squealing, or whining noise that persists until the blower motor is replaced.
Mechanical or electrical issues are the two main categories of industrial blower fan failure that can completely stop the fan. Faulty belts, loose pulleys, insufficient power, inadequate wire size, blown fuses, and other issues can occur in these areas.
Gas-powered leaf blowers are the nosiest at 80 to 90 decibels. Electric models are a bit quieter with a decibel range between 65 and 70.
Here is a brief explanation that answers the question. Leaf blowers are usually loud because of the engine, but the noise can also come from the 10-blade fan. Each time a blade running on 6,000 rpm* spins, it makes a popping sound. Multiply this by each blade, and you get a loud, high-pitched, irritating whine.
Another study coming out of Finland in 2004 examined the tonal components of nine leaf blowers and found that the low frequency sound coming from them can penetrate outside walls and is not tolerated well by humans.
Blower Motor Bearings
High-pitched whining and squealing can indicate the bearings in your furnace`s blower motor are worn out. Bearings can have a long lifespan–up to 30 years–with the proper maintenance routine. However, these bearings can wear out prematurely if the furnace is overheating.
Another potential cause of furnace humming is that the bearings in the blower motor are worn out. Worn-out bearings can cause the motor to make a grinding or humming noise. If this is the case, you`ll need to replace the bearings.

I recently tuned up my blower. It starts great but if I turn it off Nd try to restart it it floods and will not start until I let it sit for awhile.
ANSWER : If the engine is warm and you shut it down, leave the choke off, lower the revs and start it. (when the choke is wide open you are using the fresh air coming in to dry the spark plugs and prevent flooding). If the motor is already flooded use that procedure to dry the plugs, then go back to full choke until it tries to start and quits again, then use half choke and pull one more time… works all the time.

Snow blower wont start
ANSWER : Clean the fuel out and the carb , make sure you are getting spark close the choke to start then shut if off or it will foul the plug

ANSWER : Hello
Does it use a fuel and oil mixture? You probably did that.
Try removing the spark plug and cleaning it with a wire brush or some emery cloth.Make sure you have spark by connecting the plug wire and resting the plug on the metal motor block.
Do not hold the plug in your hand ,if you have no spark you may have a bad magneto.
The blower is incredibly noisy and starts shaking when I turn it on. It just started doing this while I was using it, it was fine before that one moment.
