The trimmer line is crossed on the spool: If the trimmer line becomes crossed on the spool while being loaded, this can cause it to refuse to come out during trimming. Be sure to load trimmer string onto the trimmer straight without crossing over the lines to avoid this problem while trimming.
Black and Decker automatic feed spool problems may include a jammed or tangled line, clogs from trimming heavy weeds, or an overheated motor in the trimmer itself. An overheated motor can be caused by reloading the spool with a line thicker than the size recommended by manufacturer.
The air filter or exhaust port may be blocked. The trimmer may need lubrication and cooling fins or air passages may be blocked. A cordless trimmer`s battery or charger may be faulty.
over time the arrestor can become clogged with soot which may cause the trimmer engine to stall. you can try cleaning the arrestor with a wire brush. but you may need to replace it with a new.
If this cap is broken or worn out over time, it can malfunction, causing too much line to feed out when you bump it. Depending on its damage, it could be getting hung up as it tries to return, allowing the line to continuously advance. To replace it, simply remove and replace the bump cap with a new one.
What is the Difference? Lawn edgers are designed to cut edges and create boundary lines, whereas a string trimmer is designed to maintain those boundary lines. They make a great team! Both can help your lawn to look sharper.
Something could be blocking the cap, keeping the line from advancing. To inspect and replace, simply remove and clean out the bump cap housing of any debris that may be impacting its operation. If the cap is damaged, replace it. The spool houses the wound trimmer line, located inside the trimmer head.
