Elaine, if you have all 3 spark, compression, fuel and gas indeed is going through carburetor, not to say you are weak but get somebody with a little more power to give it a few pulls for you. I often have to start my neighbors for them.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
Bad Spark Plugs If the engine holds compression well, and the fuel system is working correctly, but it still won`t start, that tells us that your car`s spark plugs may not be working. The spark plugs ignite the air/fuel mixture inside the engine`s cylinders. It`s the resulting explosion that actually powers your car.
If your Briggs & Stratton engine has a spark but won`t run, then it is most likely a problem with the gas or air intake in the engine. The spark on the spark plug ignites the gas in the piston, but if the air filter is clogged or the gas can`t flow, then the engine won`t start.
2 stroke has fuel and spark but won`t start
You`ve confirmed that the gas is getting to the carb, and the spark plug is properly igniting, but your 2 stroke dirt bike won`t start. The most common causes are a dirty carb or low compression.
Why is my lawn mower turning over but not starting? The most likely reason is bad gas. Gas that sits for many months during the off-season will eventually break down, gumming up the fuel line and carburetor in the engine and preventing it from starting.
Loss of spark is caused by anything that prevents coil voltage from jumping the electrode gap at the end of the spark plug. This includes worn, fouled or damaged spark plugs, bad plug wires or a cracked distributor cap.
If you do not see a spark, there is an ignition problem. Remove a plug wire and insert an old spark plug or a spark plug tester into the end of the wire (the plug boot). Place the spark plug on a metal surface on the engine, or ground the spark plug tester to the engine. Then crank the engine to check for a spark.
If your ATV has spark and fuel, there are a few things you can check to determine the cause of the problem. The fuel may be struggling to get from the tank to the engine. This could be due to a clogged fuel line, a faulty pump, or a blocked filter. Another possibility is that the spark plug isn`t firing correctly.
This could be due to a number of reasons, such as a fuel filter that is clogged, a faulty fuel pump, or a blocked fuel line. Other issues include a faulty carburetor, a misaligned float, or a worn gasket.
Difficult Starts
If your vehicle`s fuel pump cannot get gas from the tank to the engine, you will have trouble starting your car. The car will struggle to start and run because the pump cannot push enough gas through. A worn pump loses its pressure and the engine is being starved of gasoline.
To make the best use of the fuel, the spark should occur before the piston reaches the top of the compression stroke , so by the time the piston starts down into its power stroke the pressures are high enough to start producing useful work.
There are many causes of hard starting but illustrative ones are a faulty engine coolant temperature switch (sensor), malfunctioning idle air control (IAC) valve, vacuum and EGR leaks, inadequate fuel delivery or pressure (clogged fuel filter, injectors), and contaminated or old gasoline.
