Troy bilt snowblower wheels locked when engine is off.. While engine is on wheels are constantly engaged… Can not put blower in idle…. Wheels constantly turning…Snowblower will not throw snow… Pins are in both sides of blade… Any input would be great.

ANSWER : There is probably a shear pin or bolt that has broken, providing all other belts and accessories are intact. Should be very simple to take the bolt out of the wheel where it attaches to the shaft. Just take it to a hardware store or an outdoor store that sells snowblowers.

ANSWER : There is a spring attached to the throttle linkage. At the other end is an arm that the spring attaches to. Bend the arm so that the spring is tighter and it will throttle up higher under a load. Don’t go too far or you will take a chance of blowing the engine. Best to use a rpm tester and set it to factory specs.

ANSWER : Sounds like snow blower has been sitting since last season. Remove carburetor shield and move throttle linkage at top of carburetor. They some times seize or tighten up from sitting.Spray with WD-40 or something to lubricate.
