There are different types of gasoline primer bulbs, all of which contain various types of valves inside. Sometimes these bulbs become so hard it`s difficult to squeeze them; sometimes even though you can squeeze them, they pump poorly, if at all.
Primers are built for layering, so if you have multiple skin concerns, feel free to layer different primers. Based on your skin type (oily, normal or dry), the right primer will smooth over fine lines and wrinkles, seal pores and increase the longevity of foundation—every makeup lover`s dream.
Not all primers are created equal. To solve common painting problems, choose the best paint primer for the job. If your paint job entails indoors and outdoors, an interior/exterior primer is good to use. Otherwise, use separate primers formulated for indoors or outdoors.
Primers are formulated for interior surfaces, exterior surfaces, metals and in particular tints. Interior primer seals, increases adhesion and creates a uniform surface for walls, etc. Exterior primers minimize cracking and mildew growth, and protect masonry surfaces from alkalinity and efflorescence.
The basic difference between paint and primer is that paint is typically made up of resins pigments whereas primers are resins. The primer`s basic function is to provide a sealed and stable surface for your topcoat (paint) and the resins contained in primers seal porous surfaces and provide that bond to the surface.

Troybilt trimmer primer bulb collapses. it will start occasionally but will only run a few minutes.i have replaced the primer bulb and gas lines and still have the same problems.

ANSWER : The primer does not necessarily need to work for the unit to run. It does have a choke to aid cold starts. However it is a good indication of something wrong in the fuel system. A primer bulb that does not return to shape or does so slowly indicates a clogged screen in the carb. Check the fuel filter and fuel lines. Replace the fuel lines if they are stiff or discolored, rebuild the carb and replace primer bulb.

ANSWER : If these parts were deteriorated then the carby diaphrams will be hard therefore they wont pump fuel.
