How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The air filter may be clogged. If the air filter is clogged, the engine will get too much fuel and not enough air. As a result, the engine may not start. If the air filter is clogged, replace it.
Among the first things to check if your trimmer won`t start is the spark plug. In some cases, the spark plug may simply be dirty and need a thorough cleaning. To clean your spark plug, disconnect it and clean the area around it before removing it, advises Briggs and Stratton.
There may be old or bad fuel in the carburetor float bowl. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and make the engine hard to start. If the carburetor is clogged, try cleaning it with carburetor cleaner.
The most common problem with a strimmer not starting is that there`s a problem with the fuel mix. Double check that you`ve used 40 parts fresh unleaded petrol to 1 part 2-stroke oil (40:1). Check the petrol you`ve used isn`t stale.
Put on the choke, prime three times, waiting 4 seconds between each prime. Pull on the starter rope a couple of times until you hear the engine begin. It should rev up a little then stop because choke is still on. Pull the rope again with choke off a few times and the engine should start.
A blocked or dirty fuel filter

You need air for your initial spark – and if oxygen cannot move readily through the system you will have problems both starting and keeping your whipper snipper running. Wash the air filter in soap and hot water, then allow to air-dry.

It is possible that your shaver does not turn on or move because it is dirty. There can be hair or dirt particles stuck inside it, causing the shaving heads to be blocked. To fix this problem, properly clean your shaver. If possible, remove the shaving head and clean your shaver from the inside as well.
You need to ensure the battery is fully charged and the charger is correctly connected during the charging process. Another fault which can cause your Gtech trimmer not to work is the safety switch in the handle. To check it is operating correctly listen for a `click` when it is pressed.

My weed eater hedge trimmer runs for about 10 minutes and cuts off. It seems as though it is flooded, because it won’t start again until some time later. But it continues with the same pattern. I purchased a can of premixed gas/oil to make sure it was my mixture, to no avail. I have not replaced the spark plug yet, but I don’t think that has anything to do with it. Do you have any suggestions?
ANSWER : The plug can be the problem but also the air mix as well get the best plug you can
