The (clear) main fuel line with the filter (filter inside the fuel tank) goes to the bottom of the carburetor (or the elbow shaped nipple). The (clear) fuel intake line runs from the top of the carburetor (straight nipple) and goes to the short post on the back of the primer bulb.
A: Mix 3.2 ounces of Poulan 2-cycle air cooled engine oil to one gallon of fresh unleaded gasoline to obtain the recommended 40:1 fuel to oil ratio.
Use unleaded gasoline and two-stroke oil mixed at a ratio of 2% (50:1). 50:1 gasoline to oil ratio.
Fuel lines are made of durable metal, plastic materials and though they are located in the undercarriage of the vehicle, and seemingly in a vulnerable position, they are placed in areas that cannot be damaged due to elements, road conditions, or exposure to heat from the engine`s exhaust or other components.
Most vehicles have rubber fuel hoses connecting the fuel pipes on the chassis to the fuel pump or carburetor on the engine. Rubber hoses are flexible and can be cut to length as required, but they have a tendency to perish over time and can rub through if not properly secured.
The (clear) fuel intake line runs from the top of the carburetor (straight nipple) and goes to the short post on the back of the primer bulb. The return line (blue) comes from the long post on the back of the primer bulb and goes into the bottom of the fuel tank.
One is the high pressure line, which sends fuel to the injectors. The other is the return line, which dumps fuel that the injectors don`t use back into the tank.
Liquid or paste type sealant won`t clog. For gasoline, regular old gasoline resistant Aviation Form-a-gasket Number 3 is the best option. Another product also offered by Permatex is the High Temperature Thread Sealant.

Use a piece of wire and insert it into the fuel line, then bend a hook in the end and hook it over the end of the fuel line…lubricate the fuel line with some vaseoline very lightly…about the first one inch of the fuel line and then use your fingers to start the fuel line into the tank, once you have the fuel line in the tank give enough to hook the fuel filter to and so it can be dropped back into the tank.

Poulan te 450 cxl fuel lines need routed correctly two line both in tank one to fuel filter other line?
ANSWER : Other line is just left open like to send gas back from the carb.

Fuel line is bad and needs replaced. need to know
ANSWER : One line should be hooked to a small fuel filter or screen.
The other one is a dump or over flow that will put a small amount of unused fuel back into the tank.
You can buy this type of line at most Lawn Mower shops as a kit. 2 lines and a filer/screen.

ANSWER : Try this out. I have the same issue. When its acts like it wants to quit, crack open the fuel cap. The cap has a small breather in it and if that gets clogged it will starve fuel.

Poulan 14″ chain saw will not start
ANSWER : Usually, the fuel filter gets gummed-up from leaving it in any kind of fuel for long periods of time. Fish it out of the tank and either clean it in spray-carburetor-cleaner or replace it. Check the condition of the fuel lines while you are at it. Proper storage is to drain the tank and run the engine until it stops. If still won’t run, the carburetor internals may need cleaning and re-kitting. Make sure the spark plug is firing correctly. Hope this helps!

ANSWER : Try going to a local hardware store and ask them about gas routing for chainsaws. If that doesnt work then I suggest to send the chainsaw back and have them replace it.

The number of drive links, pitch and gauge of the chain need to be determined to answer your question. If you take your saw or just the chain to a local chain saw outlet a new chain can be fabricated in a very few minutes. This will save shipping and handling fees as well. While there get the numbers mentioned above. Once you have these you can likely find a low kickback chain in a local home center the next time the chain needs replacement.
