Fixing these leaks and gaps is a fairly simple process: get a caulking gun and fill it with either a polyurethane or oil-based sealant. Then, holding it at an angle, pump the sealant into the gap making sure it`s a smooth beading all the way.

Rubberized wet patch is a rubber modified sealant that can be used to seal roof leak in hot or wet condition. This is just the perfect thing to use when you need to fix the roof and it`s raining out there. You can use this for asphalt shingles or even tile shingles.
This is where roof cement comes in. We call it the “duct tape” of roof repairs for a good reason. It`s ugly, cheap, and works as a universal quick fix for stopping roof leaks, shingle repairs, and gutter damage.

The chimney is one of the main culprits of a roof leak. Most of the time, it`s due to cracked or damaged flashing. These are thin strips of metal installed around the roof, which provide a seal in areas where the roof intersects.
Roofs are designed to protect you and your family from rain and the elements. They`re designed to hold up in harsh conditions, but they can`t withstand everything and they do break down over time, leading to leaks. Sometimes issues are big enough that the roof leaks every time it rains.
Silicone. Silicone is considered the best waterproofing material, so it`s ideal for use on EPDM or flat roofs. It also protects well against UV rays and fading from sun exposure. However, it`s among the most expensive roof sealaer options, so it`s generally not suitable for sealing large leaks or treating entire roofs.
Bitumen is a good waterproofing material due to its nature. It is easy to apply and economical. Bitumen-based liquid membrane and bitumen-based roll membrane materials are the most well-known, economical, and high-performance materials used for roof insulation.
First, apply a liberal amount of roof patch to the problem area, and use a scraper to cover the entire area in an even coating. Once this has had time to dry, you should apply caulking around the edges and any holes to ensure it is sealed and waterproof.
The simplest way to repair a felt roof leak is once again to use acrylic-based waterproofing paint. This is highly effective at treating split felt, small gaps in joints, and punctures. If your flashing is coming away, we`d recommend repointing or redressing the old flashings to restore their waterproof seal.

Poulan 14″ gas leaks bar oil all over, plenty on bar/chain, using thin synthetic oil.
ANSWER : Use actual bar oil sold for that purpose. It’s thicker and won’t run out like water. Synthetic oil is very thin does not have the proper density.

My pump is leaking from the housing, not at a joint, but from the middle, like the housing cracked, but it only leaks when it turns on.
ANSWER : My roof is the same way … only leaks when it is raining. Can’t fix it in the rain and can’t find it in the sun.
For best results, replace the pump. You may find the parts from the manufacturer. As you replace the part, you will discover there is stuff inside that will not only revolt you, it will make replacing the cracked casting more difficult.
If it is a small crack, you might be able to patch it with a procuct called MarineTex available at Ace Hardware, or other fine store in your area. If you live in an area where boating is a big past time, look at the Marina for this product.
Oh, BTW, I might have called it the wrong name, it is a two part exply boat repair kit product. Expect to pay $20.00 for a small supply.

Have a Sta-Rite cartridge filter that is leaking from somewhere underneath. Is there a gasket, ring or something that needs replacing? Can I use a bead of silicon to seal it? It is only about 5 years old…. noticed leak about 5 minutes after pool was opened up this season. Please reply. Thank you.
ANSWER : It is probably your o-ring that needs to be replaced. These are very commonly worn in these types of pool filters. It should be part number PLM100 or PLM150 and should be fairly easy and inexpensive to find and replace.

ANSWER : Mine is doing the same thing, I need to replace the gas cap on it. The other thing that you need to check is the fuel lines, the ethanol eats everything up.

Pouring out oil.
ANSWER : Where is it pouring out from? Might you be over filling the mower? Is your drain plug tight? the right thread? (meteric vs non-metric?) if the casting is cracked, you are done. The other items are probably correctable.
