Rd80702 3300 Psi 3.0 Gpm 7 Hp Subaru Ex21fi Ohc Gas Powered

The pressure washer is actually a 3300 psi and 2.8 gpm, however, starts right up when the choke is engaged, but when I turn the choke off (disengage it), the motor begins to run choppy and shake. In order to stop the shake, I need to engage the choke slightly until i reach the “sweet spot” when it stops shaking abruptly, which means that the joke is always on….any ideas?
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
The choke reduces the air flow into the carb. If you are having problems with the choke off, it means that not enough fuel is getting into the engine and it is running lean. When you choke it, the reduced air flow causes the mixture to be correct and it runs fine.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Check for leaks

There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.

The number one cause of low or no pressure when using a pressure washer is a blocked or worn nozzle. Blocked nozzles will prevent water from escaping, while a worn nozzle will allow too much water to pass through, causing the pressure to drop.
The strong spray from a pressure washer can cause serious wounds that might first appear minor. Wounds that appear minor can cause a person to delay treatment, increasing risk for infection, disability or amputation. The fast, strong spray can throw objects that strike and injure others who are close by.
Pressure washers operate under pressure, and that pressure needs to be released by pulling the trigger. If you let the machine run for two minutes or longer without spraying water, then you could damage the pump.
It Can Harm The Unit

Without water to cool and lubricate it, the pump will work harder than it should, causing it to wear down quickly. This can happen even with just a few seconds of running the pressure washer without the water being turned on. However, the pump is not the only part that takes damage.

If they are still choking, give up to 5 abdominal thrusts: hold around the waist and pull inwards and upwards above their belly button. Abdominal thrusts squeeze the air out of the lungs and may dislodge the blockage.
The simple answer is yes, pressure washers can overheat. This is not unique to pressure washing machines – anything with a motor or power source can overheat in the right (or perhaps, wrong) circumstances. The key to preventing this detriment is to understand what causes this to happen.
Make no mistake, Jet-USA washers are among the industries best with unparalleled quality comparable to that of Karcher & Gerni pressure washers retailing for more than $1000 – a bold statement backed up by an extensive 1 Year Warranty! Don`t settle for a pressure washer that just won`t do the job.
These include a clogged nozzle, a blocked inlet water filter, or a malfunctioning pump. It could even be the water supply itself – not the pressure washer. When troubleshooting pressure washers, the best approach is to check the easiest solution first and rule it out before proceeding to more intensive repairs.
Heavy-duty tasks like stripping paint or removing graffiti require 2,800 psi or higher and a gpm of 3 to 4 (8,400+ ECUs). Commercial-grade pressure washers, intended for regular use and built and powered accordingly, start at 3,100 psi.
To fill water into the washing machine correctly in recommended time period, the water pressure must be between 20 and 116 psi. Water pressure less than 20 psi can cause water valve failure or prevent the water valve from shutting off completely. A fill time limit is built into the controls of your washing machine.
Washing Machine Hose Leaking

One of the most common causes for a washer that leaks from the bottom is a leak in the fill and drain hoses. These hoses can become blocked, kinked, damaged or disconnected, resulting in a leak while your washing machine is in use.

Surging occurs when the pressure is fine and then weakens. It is caused when the flow rate for the pump cannot be supported by the water supply. Problems can mount from there so it is important that it is dealt with as soon as possible.
Surging Pressure Washer Troubleshooting Tips

This can be confirmed when the trigger is released and the pressure builds back up to a normal level. It is telling the operator that the water supply does not meet the pump`s recommended flow rate.

Engine will not run with out choke being puh in
ANSWER : You will need to remove the carburetor and clean. Be sure to clean the high speed jet. This jet is the bolt that holds the fuel bowl on. Remove and clean the small holes in the sides of bolt. You will need a small piece of wire or bread tie just remove the outer covering and run this through the holes. Some have a hole in the bottom and smaller hole in the threads towards the top. Clean with carburetor cleaner and blow with compressed air. Try cleaning the jet first and if this doesn’t work then clean and rebuild entire carb. Hope this helps.

Ridgid pressure washer motor runs choppy when choke is disengaged
ANSWER : The choke reduces the air flow into the carb. If you are having problems with the choke off, it means that not enough fuel is getting into the engine and it is running lean. When you choke it, the reduced air flow causes the mixture to be correct and it runs fine.

Pressure washer with 5hp Honda will ONLY run with choke on
ANSWER : It sounds like it has been tipped or too much oil has been put in. This would explain the oil in the air filter. First check the oil level. Then you need to clean the oil out of the carburetor. It is dirty or plugged and that is why it only runs when choked. You can try a spray-in carb cleaner but the best thing is to remove it (if you are handy enough) and soak it in varsol for 24 hours. Good luck

Honda powwer boss 3000-whenyoupull the handale to spray it kills the engine
ANSWER : Sounds like the unloader (regulator). Try removing the nozzle, the pull the trigger with the engine running. If motor is still running then it could be the Unloader malfunctioning. If you require a new one try a bypass system for the unloader. The bypass will help save the life of the unloader.

Need help in getting Honda engine on NorthStar pressure washer to run.
ANSWER : Could be low water pressure I have found. Also, I purchased a can of “stuff” at Lowes today which allows you to circulate a liquid substance which lubricates the pressure pump….the pump could be frozen up…I have a rotating nozzle which I bought…and it had frozen up…this stuff works

1750 psi Electric Pressure Washer: My pressure washer is losing pressure and is pulsa…
ANSWER : If the pressure washer is pulsating then that is a sign of check valve failure. You may be able to clean of replace the check valves. Replacing the head is the wrong way to go. This is completely unnecessary. If you can tell me the model number of your pressure washer then I can assist you better in pointing you in the right direction.

Kranzle electric washer will not suck up soap
ANSWER : Hi, if it has a chemical injector on the machine then the pressure at the lance will have to be lowered for it to pull in soap. it works on a similar principle to how carburetors on cars pull in fuel, bernouli principle. high pressure at one side of an orifice going to low pressure at the other side which causes a negative pressure ( vacuum) which should pull in the soap. there should be a non return valve at the orifice (hole) which prevents the water back feeding into the soap container, it is quite common for this valve to get stuck, it is just a ball, spring and o ring , and the ball sticks to the o ring. if it is this system then take the soap pick up pipe off the injector and just push the ball off it’s seat with a bit of wire.If it is a high pressure soap system then that is different, but they usually work with an injector in my experience.try taking the high pressure hose off the front off the machine and running it, if it has an injector on it it should pull in plenty off soap.hope this helps ,andy

New pressure washer runs starts and runs for 30-45 minutes with no problems then dies and will not restart. Once it cools for a few minutes it will restart but will die again quickly. If it is allowed to sit for 30+ minutes it will run for another half hour but then dies again. Changed oil, gas, checked all obvious areas. Any suggestions?
ANSWER : Try removing the carb bowl and check for dirt/water etc , also if the machine is over heating it may be getting vapour locked
