The machine starts when the primer is full. As soon as the primer has emptied the machine stops.It seems as though no fuel is getting to the carburettor.
ANSWER : That is indeed the case, fuel is not getting to or through the carburetor. Check the fuel line, including the filter in the tank. Then check the carburetor, clean it if necessary, replace the diaphram in the carburetor. The diaphram is also the fuel pump of the carburetor. Be very careful with the small parts including the little spring in the lower end.

Trimmer head won’t turn
ANSWER : If you didn’t recently take it apart, then it sounds like you have broken the drive shaft in the neck of the trimmer. You can probably find this at an outdoor power and equipment type of store.Jim

In which direction do you place the line on the trimmer head – clock wise or anti clock wise
ANSWER : There is infact a small directional arrow on the head but if you cannot find it it should be replaced anti clockwise
