The Cub Cadet SCP100 push mower features a 140cc Briggs and Stratton engine that delivers the strength to power through your yard.
The fuel filter might be clogged. A clogged fuel filter is most commonly caused by leaving old fuel in the lawn mower. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the fuel filter and cause the engine to run roughly.
Blue or white smoke coming from your engine usually indicates burning oil, which can be caused by: Overfilling the crankcase with oil. Incorrect oil grades. Operating engine at greater than a 15 degree angle.
Use Carburetor Cleaner
Fortunately, you can generally do this without even taking the carburetor out of the engine. Start by purchasing some commercial lawnmower carburetor cleanerOpens a new window, which comes in a simple spray can and will make it easy to clean the inside and outside of the carb.
Cub Cadet Branded Engines – Powermore® Engines.
Cub Cadet electronic fuel-injected (EFI) engines set new standards in strength and power. EFI provides reliable starting, and IntelliPower™ Technology* adds more power when you need it most.
Get your can and spray the liquid on the carburettor. Make sure you don`t go overboard with spraying the liquid as it may end up harming the device. Rest assured that WD-40 is potent enough to work its magic even if it is sprayed decently on the carburettor.

I have a cub cadet 2165 I just put in a new battery and it is slow turning over any ideas?
If battery is good and everything is hooked up right. Most likely could be the pto clutch bearing. Not the bearing on the pulley but on the clutch inside. Had the same problem, took the spark plugs out got it free. Turned over easy with plugs out, Started right up after and then burned up my bearing. Don’t burn up bearing. If do field assy. For that is 200$ if you can get away with just that. Otherwise 350-400$ for full assy.
PTO will not engage on my 0 turn Cub Cadet RZT 50. What should I check and how do I check it?
See if the switch is getting power to it and if it is see if the clutch is getting power. it needs 12 volts in order to engage.
Cub Cadet zero turn. Cannot get the blades to turn when PTO switch is pulled. Belts are fine and attached. Please help.
I had the same problem. there was a short in the relay just before the wire gets to to back pulley assembly.

Where is the fuse – Cub Cadet LTX 1042 KW 42" 18HP Kawasaki Lawn Tractor – 13WG93AS010
Behind the dash panel at top of dash there is only one fuse
I have a cub cadet LT1042 and it is 3 years old…we have replaced the pto 2 times and replaced the belt 7 times what is the deal
You have to have something rubbing under there that isn’t supposed to be, crawl under the tractor and watch the belt go around by hand, if you can turn it. Maybe see what is frozen up, in the wrong place, Gotta be a belt guide is rubbing or a pulley is not spinning. The PTO should last 20 years, all i can think is they got it too tight to start, .010″ min, that is tight, and you must be in Florida picking up a lot of sand? If it was under any kind of warranty, I would raise a big stink about it. Those PTO’s are not cheap. And the belt has got to be $20. I wouldn’t go to a dealer for the belt, unless it is really special, just match it up at the auto parts store, for half the price of dealer. Hope this helps.
