I am another owner of the 24 hp. briggs and stratten ELS that has blew a rod out the side. How can I get help replacing this motor that has been such a terrible problem
I own a Sears Power Washer, model #580.767301 that was assembled for Sears by Briggs & Stratton.
My specific question relates to the THREAD characteristics on the male fitting on the engine of the washer where I connect the female end of the power washer hose. (The other end of the power washer hose is where the wand is connected and out of which the high pressure water comes.)
Because I sometimes have trouble threading the female hose connection onto the male threaded fitting on the engine, I want to THREAD the inside (female) diameter of a short length of pipe so it will mate with the male end of the fitting on the engine. On other end of this same short piece of pipe, I want to THREAD the outside (male) diameter so it will mate with the female end of the hose. That is why I need the THREAD characteristics of the male end of the fitting on the engine which should be the same THREAD characteristics on the female end of the hose. I trust the above makes sense and that you can provide me with the requested information so I can correctly THREAD this short piece of pipe.
My idea is that once I finish threading this short piece of pipe, I can permantly connect it to the male fitting on the engine and not risk ruining the present threads on that fitting when I attach the hose.
thank you for your assistance.
