I’m trying to losen the 5/8″ bolt to remove the clutch.
My impact wrench is too light weight… just wont do the job.
Box end wrench or socket are OK, but I cant seem to keep the engine from turning… nothing to grab on to…
I dont want to pull a plug and try to ‘block’ the engine..
Any ideas?

Engage the PTO switch. The clutch should have an amp draw of approximately 4.0 amps. If the meter reads significantly above or below 4.0 amps, there may be a shorted coil, faulty switch or battery causing the problem. The clutch assembly should be kept free from debris buildup.
Electric clutches must be adjusted from time to time for optimal performance. If the gap becomes too large between the two contact plates it becomes difficult for the magnet to hold them together. Under a heavy load the plates may slip which will result in high heat from the friction of slipping.

Cub cadet lt 1050 electric pto want engage??????????

I have a electric pto that come off a cub cadet and the part number of the pto is 5219-25 its a warner. My question is one of the wires have pulled loose in side the magnet are there any way to remove the magnet or take the pto apart? the wire is broke off inside the magnet. Thank you
ANSWER : Most likely you cannot repair this as the wire ususally breaks off inside. If you remove the assembly, you can see where the wires go into the potted coil. If there is no excess wire to reconnect to then your only choice is to replace.
How do I remove the clutch on an Echo chain saw??

How do i get the upper pulley above the pto clutch
ANSWER : Remove the pto unit and then remove the above pulley easely, spray some nut buster on the pulley and it will come off
John deere 240 brand new electric clutch. went I throw the swtich it clicks but doesn’t engage….
ANSWER : Adjust the clearance between the plates,9/16 wrench and turn the three nuts on the clutch one at a time about 1/4 turn each,retry the clutch,repeat until it works normally.

On my electric clutch one wire has broken off at the magnet with no extra wire to reconnect to. Is the magnet replaceable or do i have to buy new clutch?
ANSWER : The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I ground down the plastic where the wires go into the clutch to the magnet, using a die grinder. Once I had a few strands of wire exposing, I was able to solder to it. Works fine to date…
How to change out an electric clutch on a cub cadet zero turn RZT50?
ANSWER : Removal is simple if you have access to an impact wrench so you can the center retaining bolt.
When re-installing anti-seize compound needs to used on the crankshaft so the new clutch assembly doesn’t seize on the shaft. To tighten the center bolt you must hold the flywheel in place by blocking it. This center bolt must be torqued to 45-55 ft fts. Also the new pto clutch needs burnishing in. Most new clutches come with instruction on this procedure.
