How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

The likely cause is a failed wheel bearing unless something exceptional has caused the brake caliper to lock the brake rotor. By far, the most common cause of what you are describing is simply bearing failure though. Repair can be obtained by requesting wheel bearing replacement.
When the front wheels are locked so that they can`t turn, the car simply slides to a stop. This is because the static friction of the rolling rear wheels is greater than the kinetic friction of the sliding front wheels. If instead the rear wheels are locked, the car goes into a dramatic tailspin as it comes to a stop.
Axle binding is caused by a CV joint bending so far that the internal bearings and cage lock up and can`t turn freely. If you force it to turn in this state by hitting the gas, your CV joint will explode internally.
This would normally suggest a misadjusted derailer, but can occur on older bikes because one of the chainrings is slightly bent. The other likely cause is that the rear axle has come loose and the wheel is cocked and is rubbing against the frame.
The most common causes of your brakes not releasing is a seized caliper or brake pad. This typically occurs due to rusting or ageing. Typically, you will notice your vehicle pulling to one side when you press down on your brakes.
If any dirt, debris, or other contamination gets into the bearings, it could reduce lubrication and increase friction. If it gets too hot, or there`s too much debris in the bearings, they could start to lock up or grind. If the bearings lock up, the wheel could lock up.
Can I mow in reverse with my new riding mower? Yes you can. Although mowing in reverse is not recommended, there may be certain situations where operators feel they need to mow in reverse.
The Steering Wheel Locks While You Drive

If it does happen, it`s probably due to a failure in the suspension or steering rack or column. If this happens, keep trying to turn the wheel while slowly and safely braking. Be sure to put on your hazard lights and get away from traffic as soon as possible.

If the brakes are locking up as the vehicle sits, then you typically either have an issue with the drum brake shoes catching on the backing plate or if all four of the brakes are locking up then you more than likely have a bad master cylinder.

I have a cub cadet 2165 I just put in a new battery and it is slow turning over any ideas?
ANSWER : If battery is good and everything is hooked up right. Most likely could be the pto clutch bearing. Not the bearing on the pulley but on the clutch inside. Had the same problem, took the spark plugs out got it free. Turned over easy with plugs out, Started right up after and then burned up my bearing. Don’t burn up bearing. If do field assy. For that is 200$ if you can get away with just that. Otherwise 350-400$ for full assy.
