How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
The reasons why mower is not moving forward or reverse is that the battery is dead, or due to clogged fuel line. Additionally, malfunctioning transmission, or a broken drive belt, also a faulty spark plug, even when friction wheel isn`t in contact with the friction plate, or damaged Tires.
What does the rear roller on a lawn mower do? Firstly, a rear roller is essential for creating lawn stripes. In simple terms, the roller flattens the grass in the direction you are mowing which affects the way the light reflects off the grass.
Apart from the visual striping effect, mowers with rollers have other benefits which deserve serious consideration: that bumps in the lawn are not so easily scalped as the roller helps the mower ride over the bump rather than straddle it. the roller has a slight firming action flattening divots and worm casts.
Belt-the number one cause for your blades not to engage is that your belt is either stretched or loose causing it to slip or fall off completely. Belt could have snapped also. When you are trying to process too much grass/leaves they could pack up under your deck and push off your belt.
Lawn Mower Turns On But Won`t Move
The most common issues include a broken or damaged belt, a clogged discharge chute, a broken or damaged drive cable, or a damaged or clogged transmission. It`s important to inspect these parts and determine which one is the problem before attempting to fix it.
Rear-discharge decks send clippings out behind the deck, under the mower, instead of through a side-discharge chute. The operator stays cleaner and clippings are distributed uniformly over a wider area.
The answer is no and yes. Generally, no, don`t roll your lawn. But yes, rolling your lawn can be helpful in certain conditions but doesn`t need to be done every year. Over rolling can be harmful to your soil.
You can push a self-propelled lawnmower, it won`t damage the transmission in any way. However, it may be difficult to do so, self propelled mowers are a little heavier than a regular push mower.
How Long Do Self-Propelled Lawn Mowers Last? A self-propelled mower should last eight years or more, depending on how often it`s used. (Most manufacturers rate their mowers for a set number of service hours.) There`s no significant difference in the service life of a self-propelled mower versus a standard push model.
Failure of any mechanical component, a broken hose, or clogged filter will cause tractor hydrostatic transmission problems. But the most common issue will be the oil itself. In the transmission section of your operator`s manual, you`ll find a section that covers oil viscosity.

How do u remove the tire off a rear rotiller – Troy Bilt Mtd Tiller Wheel Tire 480×4008
Remove the pin that secures the wheel to the axle and remove the wheel. Sometimes the wheel will become rusted to the axle and can not be removed. Its best to leave it be. Attempting to beat the wheel off the axle runs the risk of causing internal damage to the transmission. Once the wheel is off, remove the valve and release the air then using your tire tools remove the tire.
My intex sand filter will not move water when I put the lever to filter? It will move water when I put the lever to recirc but wont move water with filter…why?
Im gonna guess that you stored the filter improperly off season and now the sand charge is hard as cement inside not alowing water to get thru , left alone for a week or so it might loosen up , but the best thing is to dissasemble filter and remove all sand and ck “fingers” inside this is fastest way
