Check to make sure you are getting power on both sides of the switch. Check the connectors going to electromagnetic engagement PTO unit. This is mounted right on the base of engine. Check ground wire coming from unit to make sure you have agod grounfd connection.

To start your zero-turn mower, locate and engage the parking brake. The correct starting position for your drive handles requires you to have them wide apart. Belt-the number one cause for your blades not to engage is that your belt is either stretched or loose causing it to slip or fall off completely. Belt could have snapped also. When you are trying to process too much grass/leaves they could pack up under your deck and push off your belt.

PTO will not engage on my 0 turn Cub Cadet RZT 50. What should I check and how do I check it?
ANSWER : See if the switch is getting power to it and if it is see if the clutch is getting power. it needs 12 volts in order to engage.
Why wont my blade engage
ANSWER : Bad pto clutch shorting out
Just replaced pto clutch brand new ,wont engage.nothing, zip not a movement.
ANSWER : Check that you are getting voltage to the wires that connect to the clutch when you switch on the pto. If not check that you are getting voltage to the pto switch. If you are the pto switch is faulty. Regards Phil
I have a 20 hp z force 44 and the mower blades wont come on . I have changed the pto switch and the safety switch under the seat. I have also checked the fuse and its good. what else is there?
ANSWER : Hi, check you have voltage at the pto plug in connector when the mower is running and the pto switch on. If so the pto needs replacing. If not you have a bad contact or broken wire somewhere. Hope this helps, regards Phil.

ANSWER : Check plug on the pto itself.located under the mower near the rear end. contacts probably have dried dirt and mud. if that don’t work, tap it with a hammer,it may be just stuck.Thats what I did and it been working ever since. Hope this helps someone.Let me know.
On my cu cadet zero turn only the left side turns and the right side moans but wont move ever with the release lever to free wheel released
ANSWER : Check the hydraulic oil level for the hydrostat drives(if it has a reserve tank located under the seat. Some ZT’s don’t have the reserve tank. Don’t over fill that tank. 1/4 inch above the bottom is all it needs.)
Also, check the steering arm bolts. Very often they work themselves loose and the arm doesn’t pull the valve rod that controls the hydrostat unit.
Need the pto to work on a 6300 john deere tractor we have changed the fuses and changed the sencer on the back can you help
ANSWER : If you have tried a new sensor and a new switch the the next step is to replace the pto solenoid valve.If that proves fruitless then the b.c.u.needs to be replaced or bypassed.The solenoid valve will cure your problem 90% of the time.If that does not work,let me know,i can tell you how to by-pass the b.c.u..
Oil Filter Removal
ANSWER : Oil filter removal is counterclockwise when viewing the filter from the top. Filter install is clockwise. If this is a original filter, then it will be very tight. Before installing new filter, ensure that you place a bit of new oil on the seal located on the flat portion of the new filter before reinstalling to ensure it is sealed, and it also only needs to be hand tight.
