Same thing happened to me and I found out that water was getting into the carb filter media. Try taking the carb filter cover off and see if the foam filter is wet. If so, try starting without the filter and see if it works.
THis issue used to drive me crazy on my unit, hope this helps.
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.
A clogged carburetor is most commonly caused by leaving fuel in the pressure washer for a long period of time. Over time, some of the ingredients in the fuel may evaporate, leaving behind a thicker, stickier substance. This sticky fuel can clog up the carburetor and cause the engine to run stall.
How Do I Tell If My Unloader Valve is Bad? In most occurrences, the first symptom of an unloader valve going bad is no pressure from the wand when the trigger is pressed. This happens when the unloader valve gets stuck open and does not allow water to enter the hose and trigger.
The problem may be in the recoil starter itself. A tangled coil of rope or a broken spring may be the problem. In many cases the recoil starter is easily replaced as a single assembly. DO NOT attempt do take the starter apart.
Begin isolating the problem by hooking a water hose to the washer`s inlet and turning it on. If water flows out the outlet, you know water is cycling through. If not, chances are your inlet filter is clogged. Remove and clean it, and you should be good to go.
Clogged carburetors or air filters can cause a pressure washer not to start. If your pressure washer won`t start, you can also check for a clogged carburetor or air filter.
Replace leaking, punctured or rusted hoses. Clean your drain pump every three months to avoid clogging. You might be using more detergent than necessary. In this case, your washing machine will stop and try to absorb the excess foam in its drum.
These include an incoming power problem, a damaged power cord, a malfunctioning door lid switch or lock, a defective user control board or timer, a broken drive belt, or a faulty or obstructed drain pump.
Water leaks and inconsistent behavior are also signs of a potential failure in the near future. González: The typical signal when there is an unloader malfunction is a reduction of flow through the nozzle, which results in pressure loss. Dean: Typical symptom of an unloader failure is a sudden smooth pressure loss.
Hydro locking typically happens when a wash is turned over on its side or when the carburetor float valve (aka needle) wears out and leaks which allows gas to flood the engine. Common symptoms are a smell of gas, gas leaks, high oil level, lots of smoke If the engine starts), fouled spark plug.

Pull cord is difficult to pull after third pull becomes stuck but will turn if pull hard repeats every three to four pulls.

Hard to pull starter rope. It doesn’t pull smoothly. hard to pull.
Take the spark plug out–does it pull smoothly now? If not, the pull cord may be the wrong size or it is damaged and/or doesn’t rewind correctly. Does the machine have a compression release? If so, it may be plugged with carbon. With the spark plug out, pull the engine through several times briskly with the throttle open and the choke off to expel any excess fuel from the crankcase. Hope some of this helps!
I’m having problems with my 223L when I cen get it started I have to run it with full choke once you open the choke it shuts down any help Please
Sounds like its getting fuel starved, look at fuel system and carb settings, may need a carb service.
Chain saw won’t start – pull starter pulley hard to pull?
If it worked fine the last time you used it, then pull the spark plug and try pulling the rope. See if it’s easier or if gas shoots out of the plug hole. I’ve seen this happen when the diaphram in the carb goes bad from sitting over winter. It loads up the cylider with fuel and makes it very difficult to pull the rope. If there is no fuel in the cyliner and it’s still hard to pull, make sure there is nothing binding the clutch/sprocket. I’ve had chucks of wook lodged in there that caused it to bind the crank output, which resulted in a hard pull on the rope as well.
My Husqvarna 128cd weedeater would run with choke on but not in the run position. Sometimes it would run in the run position but would not stay running. I had it running and then it cut off. I now cannot get it to crank at all. Any ideas
More than likely a fueling issue, wrong fuel air mix or air leak somewhere
I have a new echo PB250 Leaf blower and it will not keep running. It starts fine but shuts off after a few seconds.
Sounds like a dirty carb, dissamble it and rinse good with carb clean, be careful when taking the top off it that you get it back together the same spray the white center good and all little holes good. then reassemble, also try to loosen your gas cap maybe first before cleaning carb, you might have a plugged vent in the line coming out of the tank. Good Luck
It won’t stay running. have cleaned the gas tank and it just had a tune up. runs fine then gets rough and quits. If I push the bulb it smooths out and runs fine for a couple of minutes and then begins hesitating again. Now today it ran for about 15 min. and now it won’t start. It wants to. runs for a couple of seconds 5-10 and then quits.
Remove the float bowl and empty the contents out clean and replace
