ANSWER : Take or call the saw shop and give them your serial # they should be able to tell you the model or take your saw down to the saw shop that sells your brand of saw and ask them. Good luck .

ANSWER : I have a Poulan Pro 295 20″. When I bought it I also bought a 16″bar and chain and have been using those since. They make the saw much easier to handle and are a better match to the available power.
The key dimension is from the bar’s mounting hole to its end. At the store look at the normal replacement bar for your 18″ saw, and pick out a 16″ or even 14″ bar with the same dimensions there. This can be easily seen by laying one bar over the other.

ANSWER : Your chain is too loose. If you’re using an old chain, you might need to have a link taken out of it. You can find replacement chains for your saw at Hyperparts.com. Use the application lookup link at the top of the page with your model # to make sure you order the right chain.

ANSWER : Open the chain guard.Once there look for a bolt that hold the chain plate.The chain plate has a large groove and the bolt.djust the chain by plull to the front until the chain is tight,but not too much,just test by hand if is move freely but tight.Reverse the procedure.If you need more help come back.Post / thumbs / testimonial are welcome!
