How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
If your pressure washer starts and runs fine, but there`s no pressure or no water coming from the pump, it could be a clogged wand, hose or inlet filter. Fortunately, this is an easy pressure washer problem to repair. Begin isolating the problem by hooking a water hose to the washer`s inlet and turning it on.
Air in Water Line Entrapped air creates bubbles that may implode under pressure, causing caviatation and often loud pump “grinding” noises. Cavitation can wear internal pump components, resulting in possible pump failure.
The main causes of improper fuel delivery could be a plugged nozzle or a plugged fuel filter. If replacement of these hot water pressure washer parts does not solve the problem, then you may have a bad fuel pump.
Most likely you`ve either overloaded the washing machine, used the wrong type of detergent, or used too much detergent. Try putting in fewer clothes, switching up your detergent, or using less detergent to see if these solutions alleviate your soapy clothes problem.
When the detergent you added to your washing cycle is not dispensed completely into the washer tub, it may be caused by three major reasons: the type of detergent you are using, the amount of detergent you applied, a maintenance related issue.
There are many things that could lead to no water supply even with your water pump running. Some of the possible issues include: A blocked sediment filter or a failing filtration system. Low water table caused or overusing your water supply.
The most likely reason for a washer making noise during the spin cycle is an item caught in the lint trap, seal or between the drum and washer casing. This causes a rattling or banging sound, which can be extremely loud.
Normally, your washing machine won`t go into a spin cycle until it`s been drained. The drainage hose may become clogged with debris from your clothing, or it could be kinked. If the hose is kinked or crushed, it will likely need to be replaced.
Burner Assembly – a device for converting fuel to heat energy – heating water for the pressure washer. Cone Assembly – a cone-shaped area in the combustion chamber that helps distribute air and fuel.
Fuel that has been stored for over thirty days can go bad and damage key components on your pressure washer. If possible, drain the remaining fuel into an approved container, like a gas can.. If that`s not possible, add fuel stabilizer to prevent the gas from breaking down and gumming up engine components.
make sure the detergent container is full check all connections if the detergent is too thick diluted. make sure the adjustable nozzle is in low pressure mode if it is in high pressure mode it will not allow detergent to pass if you have checked all of these things in the detergent.
Make sure you let it sit on the surface long enough to really break down dirt and grime. We suggest letting the soap dwell for at least 10 minutes before you start rinsing it off with your pressure washer.

Cut grass clippings does not get picked up by riding lawnmower
ANSWER : When using a bagger, you need correct blades on mower or Worn blades will cause the deck not to get the vacuum needed for the bagger to pickup.
I just received a craftsman lawn tractor 17.5 HP, 42 inch mower model number 917.273372 and was wondering if I am able to add a bag attachment to the back to pick up grass.
ANSWER : Yes, but not sure if they make one to fit that model any longer
Blocked chain oil feed tube on chain saw
ANSWER : Drain out all the oil. You will have to have a air compressor or find some one who does. With a rag to help cover the fill hole pressure the oil chamber and push the oil valve open and try to blow out the clog.
I have a Ryobi Lawn Hornet MK2 which belongs to my brother and I offered to try and fix it. Two of three fuel tubes broke and he is uncertain where they go (as am I). There is a primer pump with two tubes attached, two tubes attached to the carby and two go to the fuel tank. One is filtered in the tank, the other not. I suspect the filtered tube from the tank should go to the primer, the outlet tube on the primer to the carby and the second one from the carby go back to the tank. Have no idea which tube on the carby, primer or tank is in/out? Can you help. Machine start with considerable effort but cuts out.
ANSWER : IVe worked out that the tube from the filtered tube ( the lowest part of the tank) goes to the bottom entryof the carb and the other goes to the primer bulb. the other side of the primer bulb goes to the top entry of the carb.So the barb has two entry points, the top being to prime for start and the bottom for ordinary running.I found this works for me.
I have a Husqvarna 235R trimmer. One of the fuel tubes going to the primer bulb cracked. I replaced the tube. At the same time I didn’t know that the tube from the carburator to the fuel tank was cracked also. I replaced that one also. I don’t know how far the tube extends into the fuel tank though. I couldn’t get the bulb to prime so I switched the tube connections (the one from the carb to the bulb and the bulb to the fuel tank) to the bulb. I was able to get the bulb to prime and start the engine but the engine will not stay at idle. So I swithced them back and cannot start the engine. Which tube does the fuel filter go on the one from the carb or the one from the priming bulb.
I have a poulan p3314 chainsaw. It has been sitting up for a while. When I started it, I could not get it to run beyond an idle. Every time I squeezed the gas, it quit. Finally, it quit and refused to start. I decided to put fresh gas in it and change the spark plug. When I emptied the gas tank, the fuel filter fell out. The fuel line had rotted. I contacted Poulan, and they sent a new filter and line. Their instructions were inadequate. First, it is difficult to tell where to attach the new line. there appears to be a fitting in the front end of the tank. There is also a piece of rotted tube end the back end of the tank.
1) where does the tube with the filter attach?
2) how do you go about attaching the new tube? Can the tank be removed? It seems like it might take a special tool or some nimble fingers to attach the new tube
3) would this have been the cause of the rough running and its refusal to start?
ANSWER : The ful line actualy disloved and the problem is inside the carburtator there is a valve that lets fuel into the fuel bowl and also shuts it off when its full the floats control it so its always opening and closeing that is stuck closed from the melted fuel line you need to clean the entire carburator out the neddle valve may have a rubber tip at the seal point so take care not to damage it ware it makes the seal but its not hard to do anyone with some common sence and a little mechanical abilitly can do them selves
Toro sprewing oil
ANSWER : The filler spout tube may have pulled out of its seat push and twist to reinsert it down. if the oil is over filled you must drain some out to return it to its correct oil level, if it did pull out of its seat the small bolt holding the filler tube in place may have loosened up and fallen off it must be replaced if this happened.
Blowing oil on an 8HP craftsman snowblower
ANSWER : That is a breather tube, I can’t picture the motor off the top of my head but that tube is either connected to the valve cover or if the tube seems to go up over the motor then that tube goes down into the motor. If it’s the one thats connected to the valve cover then it’s possible there is to much oil in the valve box. If it’s the one that seems to go up over the top and in then if your just alittle to much over full you’ll get oil out of that tube cause that tube sits alittle above the oil level. If your oil level is right on the line then I would run it for a bit then check the oil level. If the level is still good then you should be ok but keep an eye on it if it continues to blow oil out I would take it in to get looked at futher.
