We recommend using a non-selective herbicide like Eraser 41%. This is a Glyphosate based herbicide that kills all plants that come in contact with it, so be careful when applying it so you don`t get it on desired plants.
It can be used on all cool-season turf and warm-season Bermuda, Zoysia, Centipede, and Bahia (very low concentrations ok for St Augustine too!).
If you have a larger clover problem, or you want to feed your lawn and kill clover at the same time, try Scotts® Turf Builder® Triple Action. If you have a St. Augustine, centipede, or zoysia lawn use Scotts® Turf Builder® Southern Triple Action instead.
Zoysia grass is intolerant of standing water and may die out in low areas where water can collect. Although root rots may be obvious, many other problems may not be as obvious. Shallow rooting, increased susceptibility to disease, and attractiveness to grubs are a few of the other problems improper watering can cause.
Overall, Zoysia is a very hardy grass and can choke out clover.
Zoysia can tolerate some shade, but not too deep and dark. These lawns need a good de-thatching in the spring and fall (to avoid diseases and pests) and they like a regular fertilizing schedule.
Bermuda in Zoysia: You can suppress and eventually kill Bermuda in Zoysia by mixing (2) Herbicides together. Try a light dose of 1 oz of Turflon Ester(Triclopyr) mixed with a 1⁄2 oz of Fusilade II (Fluazifop) in 1 gallon of water to spot spray Bermuda in Zoysia.
Several other non-selective herbicides are available for use in landscape plantings. These include: Diquat (Reward™), pelargonic acid (Scythe™), glufosinate (Finale™ and others), and many “natural products” such as vinegar and botanical oils. All of these products have contact-type activity.
Postemergent herbicides to control clover without injuring the zoysia grass, if properly applied, include mecoprop and dicamba.
Arrest Max is a selective grass herbicide that will control most grasses, without harming clover, alfalfa, chicory or any Whitetail Institute perennial food plot.

Does preem kill grassas growing out of ponds – Roundup "" Weed & Grass Killer
ANSWER : I would not use Preen in your pond. Preen is a pre-emergent and needs to tie up in the top 2″ of your soil. It does not kill existing grasses and weeds, only the germinating seed as the meristem evolves. Use a product specifically designed for aquatic use.

ANSWER : I was a professional landscaper for 27 years in California. I would recommend that you look for some type of a soil sterilant, (which is a very strong weed killer, non-selective, such as Isotox). These are good for weed abatement in cracks and areas that you need more permanent weed solutions. Use caution, though, because these chemicals usually have long term effects, and could be washed into other areas that you may not want effected.
