Garden

Works great except that the time defaults to Pacific and I’m in the Rocky Mountain time zone. I’ve tried pushing set clock and then the -/+ button but it flashed 12 hr or 24 hr and then gets all wonky with a bunch of gibberish. Can you help me?
Thanks!

Which model Oregon Scientific do you have? There are a couple that you need to set the time zone with a switch on the back of the unit. For the BAR388HGA-BK, you press and hold Mode for 2 seconds until it goes into the setting mode. Then you can use the up/down arrows to cycle through the Time Zone options. (1 is Pacific, 4 is Mountain). Press Mode again to confirm the setting and advance to the next item to change. You will leave the Set mode if you do not press a button for several seconds. If you just press and release the Mode button, then you can set the time display option.

A number of Oregon Scientific product manuals are available here:

I hope this helps.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

All of Oregon Scientific atomic clocks are automatically set to U.S. atomic time. No need to worry about adjusting your clock for Daylight Savings Time or for Leap Year.
The BAR208 wireless weather station monitors indoor and outdoor temperature from up to 3 remote locations. You can put a sensor outside in your garden, in your wine cellar and your baby`s room and read all that information from the comfort of your bedroom.
All of Oregon is on Pacific Standard Time, except for the Ontario city area in Eastern Oregon, which is on Mountain Standard Time. Daylight Saving Time is observed from the second Sunday of March to the first Sunday of November.
Selecting the time zone on most Oregon Scientific clocks requires pressing the “Mode” or “Clock” button for 2 – 3 seconds to enter into the clock settings. Typically the first clock setting is the time zone. Use the up/down or +/- buttons to change to the correct time zone.
Go to Settings > Manage my Home. Click on the 3 dots on the top-right corner and select “Location” Enter the desired address in the search bar or move the pin and click on “Confirm”
