2500 PSI Pressure Washer

We have a Coleman 2400 PSI 2.3 GPM pressure washer. It’s worked pretty well for the last couple years. Now we have an issue were if you realease the trigger while using it and then press the trigger again. It does not start spraying again, even after holding the trigger for a long period of time. It seems we have to turn it off and start all over.
Experienced gardeners share their insights in answering this question :
I have the same problem. This is the responce for Karcher……
The unloader valve may be sticking, or is dirty. It probably needs to be cleaned and may need to be replaced, it is inexpensive. It gets a lot of use, but extends the life of the pump. The function of the unloader is to allow the machine to run in a bypass mode while the trigger of the gun is closed. First, a lack of high pressure can be caused by: 1. Insufficient water feeding to the unit, so check that the water is turned on all the way and that there are no kinks in the hose. 2. The inlet filter may be clogged. (it will need to be removed and thoroughly cleaned). 3. An internal water leak. 4.Also, low pressure can be caused by worn spray tips. If you have checked the first three with no resolution, the problem is internal and could be as simple as a sticking unloader valve. If you are mechanically inclined, you can clean this valve yourself and greasing the o-rings (use lithium based grease), or take it to a local service center. You do not need to take the pump apar t. The unloader valve is located under the cover, and is secured with 2 bolts. (Use needle nose pliers to remove the valve) For those units with pressure and volume controls, the unloader is located under the pressure and volume control knobs themselves. Do not take any other bolts off or you will open the pump and lose the pump’s oil. Note: Lithium based grease will prevent future failure of the unloader valve. Also, check websites such as this site.com for tips and how-to info particularly on cleaning the unloader valve. Be sure to use lithium grease if you reassemble it.
I am going to check the manuel to see where it’s at

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

There could be small leaks, holes, or tears in your garden hose or high-pressure hose that are causing your pressure washer to lose pressure when you pull the trigger. If you find leaks, plug the holes or replace the hose, which should solve your pressure issues.
Begin isolating the problem by hooking a water hose to the washer`s inlet and turning it on. If water flows out the outlet, you know water is cycling through. If not, chances are your inlet filter is clogged. Remove and clean it, and you should be good to go.
How Do I Tell If My Unloader Valve is Bad? In most occurrences, the first symptom of an unloader valve going bad is no pressure from the wand when the trigger is pressed. This happens when the unloader valve gets stuck open and does not allow water to enter the hose and trigger.
The number one cause of low or no pressure when using a pressure washer is a blocked or worn nozzle. Blocked nozzles will prevent water from escaping, while a worn nozzle will allow too much water to pass through, causing the pressure to drop.
If your well pump starts and runs but doesn`t build pressure, there may be damage to bearing, impeller, or seal, or a faulty check valve. Debris or scale clogging the impeller, a failing bearing or seal, and a broken impeller blade will all make the pump run with no buildup of pressure.
Stuck pressure control relays. Problems with the pressure switch relay contacts. A damaged pump motor or worn-out wiring. A torn water bladder/diaphragm.
DON`T Let the Machine Run Too Long Without Pulling the Trigger. Pressure washers operate under pressure, and that pressure needs to be released by pulling the trigger. If you let the machine run for two minutes or longer without spraying water, then you could damage the pump.
Water leaks and inconsistent behavior are also signs of a potential failure in the near future. González: The typical signal when there is an unloader malfunction is a reduction of flow through the nozzle, which results in pressure loss. Dean: Typical symptom of an unloader failure is a sudden smooth pressure loss.
Without an unloader valve, the water pressure continues to build up in the nozzle, potentially causing a very unsafe situation. The increase in pressure – without an unloader valve to regulate it – could cause the water pressure to go over the PSI limit, potentially damaging your pressure washer`s pump.

Mower won’t start
ANSWER : This may sound stupid but don’t mean it to…
Have you tried with the choke all the way open? Do you have an automatic cruise? Is the right (correct) pedal being pushed in? These will affect if it starts or not. Also if your drive belt or one of the other belts not being tight enough will affect if it starts or just turns over. Not too many things can stope it from starting with new/good battery AND if its getting gas. Try cleaning your gas line and obviously making sure there is no obstruction around or near your blade, if it does start with blade engaged that is :))
If it doesn’t start with blade engaged, well make sure it’s in neutral. Mine won’t start in reverse but will in forward or neutral.

Hope it helps.

My mower will start but won't stay running – Toro LX466 22HP Lawn Tractor 13RT61RH244
ANSWER : I am going to respond 2 times to this post. The first reply will be generic things to check.
First off check the oil level and make sure it is serviced to full.
If your having a lack of fuel (runing lean) you will need to check fuel flow at the carb fuel mainfold. It should fill a spray paint can lid in less than 10 seconds but teting flow rated of the main fuel line. If you have poor flow here… you need to check the fuel filter and the fuel tank outlet port for obstructions.

Good Fuel flow still shutting off…. remove the carb float bow and clean the debris from the bow’ and the treaded area where the fuel solenoid mounts Additionally you will have to again remove the main fuel line and spray carb cleaner in the float needle area to flush out any debris through the fuel hose connection.

For the second response I need to know which engine is installed on your mower by MODEL number if you can locate it. (there are 3 engines) At least try to find the engine model number. If you can not locate it Brand and HP of the engine (I assume 22 hp) Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

ANSWER : Hello
Does it use a fuel and oil mixture? You probably did that.

Try removing the spark plug and cleaning it with a wire brush or some emery cloth.Make sure you have spark by connecting the plug wire and resting the plug on the metal motor block.

Do not hold the plug in your hand ,if you have no spark you may have a bad magneto.
