There is danger of electric shock. Never attempt to disassemble or alter the fan in any way. Doing so might not only result in substandard performance, but also fire, burns, bodily injury, or electrical shock.
If the motor is noisy or doesn`t work, you should take the fan to a repair shop. Repairing a wobbly tube or worn adjustment mechanisms that don`t remain tight is not difficult. In a short time, your fan will be circulating the air to your liking.
Poor ventilation can cause dust and heat to get trapped inside the case of the motor. This can cause your fan to stop functioning—especially if your fan has an overheating feature that causes it to automatically shut off if it gets too hot.
Noun. pedestal fan (plural pedestal fans) An electric, oscillating fan supported by an adjustable height, tiltable head, detachable stand.
For weekly cleaning, you do not need to disassemble the fan to clean the blades. Use a hairdryer or compressed air to blow away dust from the surface of the blades. Use the coolest air setting on the hairdryer and keep it about six to ten inches away from the blades.
Unplug your tower fan no matter how you plan on cleaning it. Vacuum the vents with a brush attachment and spray them with compressed air to remove the most dust without opening the fan up. If you`re able to take the fan apart, unscrew the panel to expose the blades. Use a vacuum brush or compressed air to clean them.
Place your fan so that it faces the opposite wall from where most of the activity takes place in your space. This approach will drive the air to the surface, where it will bounce off, mingling with the rest of the air and cooling the space.
In many cases the source of a loud tower fan is the bearing becoming misaligned with the blade drum`s axis of rotation. This causes vibration and scraping of the bearing bracket with the surrounding housing. A minor adjustment and application of some inexpensive rubber between the surfaces can silence the fan for good!
Even at slow speeds, fans pose an amputation risk. That is, if your finger touches a spinning fan blade, the blade may have sufficient force to sever your finger. While a fan blade is not likely to cut off your arm, its momentum is sufficient to cause extensive tissue and nerve damage.
The more your fans circulate, the more dust they collect, and that build up can lead to noisy operation and eventually motor damage. A ceiling fan can also house dust mites, especially if you`ve avoided dusting it.

Unscrew the blade nut. Usually, it`s a reverse nut, so to loosen, hold the blade and turn the nut clockwise. Pull the fan blade off, and put it into the soapy water. Loosen the nut that holds the rear grill to the motor stem.

Drive shaft not engaging – Ryobi 30 Cubic Centimeter Curved Shaft Gas Trimmer
ANSWER : Hi there Reyles,On this model, if yo rev the engine and the head just sits there, it can be one of two things.

Clutch not engaging (unlikely)
Broken flex shaft (likely)You need to partially disassemble the unit to find out. I believe you will need a T25 or T27 torx head. Remove the screws from the clutch housing that connects the engine to the shaft.Pull it apart. Spin the shaft manually. If nothing its the shaft. Otherwise its the clutch.Best regardsMike

Cub Cadet 129- The drive shaft from the engine to the hydrostatic drive does not line up at the hydro end. What should I do? The roll pin in the shaft at the engine hub it connects to kept shearing, and there was alot of wobble in the shaft, so I bought a new shaft and hub(the old hub had a slot slot worn it 3/4″ long), also, there was a great deal of wear and play on the hydro end of the bracket attached to the hydro shaft that the flexible disc attaches to, so I changed that as well. Now when installing the new shaft it is misaligned-the shaft being about 1/4″ higher than the hydro connection point. Should I shim the front of the motor up to lower the shaft in the back?
ANSWER : This mis alignment of 1/4″ is about normal that is how and why cub put the rubber flex coupling on the hydro… however if there is play in the hyro input shaft then we need to determine what the cause of this is. Good luck

Need directions/advice on dismantling suncast 10×10 shed model A0
ANSWER : You can dismantle this thing, you can also have it moved on a flat bed wrecker, how far are you going? I would try to get it apart panel by panel, not piece by piece, but wall by wall. It might be possible, but when it goes back together, you might need some new fasteners and brackets here and there. And yes, it is worth it. Hope this helps.

Broken flexible shaft – Ryobi 30 Cubic Centimeter Curved Shaft Gas Trimmer
ANSWER : There are so many details missing from your question…
first, does the shaft break down into 2 pieces ( so as to accept different attatchements) ?
if so which end is broke?
second, how did you determine the shaft is broke?
have you eliminated the possibility of a stripped end in the head?
Have you eliminated the possibility of a stripped end in the clutch ( the most likely cause of failure) ?
Have you eliminated a failed clutch?

I suggest you diagnose the unit carefully first then decide what it is worth to you to fix versus replacement. A shaft is about $30 from your local dealer.
