Sort of depends on what you put where. In general, you should be able to drain or pump whatever you put in back out, add the correct stuff as a rinse, and take that mixture out again. Then put the right stuff in.

Most heating oil tanks will have a drain nozzle on the bottom of the tank. This nozzle can be opened to drain any liquid that is inside the tank, but it is important that you keep an eye on the place where you are draining the oil so that it does not overflow!
One way to remove the gas is to use either a hose to siphon off the gas or a baster/pipette to remove the gas from the lawn mower gas tank to a gas can. Alternatively, the fuel line connecting the fuel tank to the carburetor can be disconnected at the carburetor and fuel emptied into a gas can.
Engine Damage

When placed inside the tank, it can have serious repercussions, which are hazardous to the engine. For one, the oil will not mix well with gasoline. This can leave sticky deposits in the carburetor, fuel lines, and fuel filter. These sticky deposits can cause the engine to overheat.

Can I remove and dispose of an old oil tank myself? The answer to this question is no, you can`t, and please do not attempt to do so. The removal and disposal of an old oil storage tank must be carried out according to existing Building Regulations.
While it may sound hard to believe, heating oil can actually evaporate from your tank. This only happens in very high temperatures, so you shouldn`t experience much of that outside of heatwaves and similar conditions.
One of the easiest ways to remove hydrocarbons from water or coolant is by using a belt oil skimmer. It is a low maintenance, easy to use tool for removing oil from water or coolant.
Withdrawing liquids

Liquids can be withdrawn from tanks using buckets, or wooden waterproof pipes powered by an engine. The engine must be connected to the wooden waterproof pipe in order for the liquid to be extracted.

Where is drain plug for engine oil – Briggs & Stratton Gas Pressure Washer 20244
ANSWER : If you are refering to the engine, the drain plug is on the underside above the pump. Sometimes it’s located on both sides at the very bottom where the engine is bolted to the frame. It may have both of these drains, but the one on the side you can’t get to due to the frame being in the way so this is why they put them in two different spots. I hope this helps.

ANSWER : Put straight 30 weight motor oil in it. Not 10W30 or any multi-viscosity oil. Straight 30 weight motor oil. If you’re doing a complete oil change, then you may want to use Synthetic 30 weight, which will last longer between oil changes and also make your engine last longer (but it costs more too). What kind of oil do I use in the oil reservoir of my chain saw?
ANSWER : I believe the reservoir you are talking about is for the bar chain oil. You can get it most anywhere. As for mixing the gas and oil mixture, you will need 2 cycle oil. It is available most everywhere also. Most modern chain saws use a 50:1 mixing ratio which means 2 1/2 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas. Hope this helps.

I have a husqvarna 137 chainsaw. The problem is with the bar oil. When the saw runs oil is flowing but where the rubber corner piece which allows the oil to flow out of appears to be just dripping the oil straight out. It looks like it should fill a small reservoir behind the metal plate and the oil then moves upwards where the chains drags the oil through the oil hole on the bar which is moving outwards as in the top chain on the bar. However the chain-brake area is just getting messy with oil splattering all over and the bar not actually getting oiled. I have fitted a new metal plate to see if the corner of the original was not sealing properly but that has not helped. The bar holes are clean. Any suggestions as I can’t see what it could be?
ANSWER : It’s the rubbers. I had the same problem with my 137 and 141. The rubbers shrink over time and the oil never makes it up the channel. The replacement part is one piece and less prone to leaking than the original 2 piece design.
