Out the drain plug ? Sight glass window ? Under the pump where the crankcase meets the pump head?
tighten plug, replace oring on sight glass or replace low pressure seals if near the pump
How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
If oil leaks from your pressure washer pump, one of the seals, gaskets or pistons may be damaged. Disassemble the pump and replace any worn or damaged parts. If that doesn`t help, the oil leak may be due to a loose fitting in the pump assembly. Give the pump a once over and tighten any loose bolts.
Pressure washer water pumps need relatively low oil recommended by the manufacturer, as specified in the owner`s manual. (Purchase pre-measured bottles of pump oil for water pumps without dipsticks.) Never use special oil additives or detergents, unless specified in the owner`s manual.
Crankcase oil capacity: 11 oz.
The oil level of the Comet pump can be checked by removing the oil cap and inspecting the dip stick. The correct level should fall between the “Min” and “Max” lines on the dip stick. Do not run the pump dry. Running the pump dry will cause premature wear on the seals, packing and plungers.
When an oil pump O-ring begins to leak, it will usually soak the other parts of the engine with oil. The oil pump is commonly behind the crank pulley which will sling oil around the engine bay. Usually, you will begin to notice that there is oil all over the timing cover and the intake manifold.
A brand-new water pump may leak from the weep hole for around 10 minutes. After this break-in period, the seals should prevent any further leakage. If either coolant or oil comes out of the weep hole, one of the seals has failed. In virtually all cases, this requires that you install a new water pump.
Water pumps are designed to pump water through the engine, radiator, and heating system. Water pumps will not cause oil to enter the cooling system.
Overfilling oil may cause smoking, hard starting, spark plug fouling, and oil saturation of the air filter. Do not run the pressure washer before connecting and turning on the water supply failing to do so will result in damage to the pump.
The pump oil should be changed after the first 25 hours of operation on a new machine. After the initial oil change, pump oil should be changed every 250 hours or every 3 months.
If the pump is leaking, the cause may be minor and easy to repair. Check the seals, packings, and O-rings for wear. These can easily be replaced, saving you the cost of a new pump. However, major leaks such as the ones caused by cracked or damaged plungers, can lead to pump failures.
We recommend to use type 32A hydraulic oil.
The most critical engine oil leaks are those that starve your engine of oil. If you see a large puddle on the ground, don`t try starting your engine. You may not have enough oil left to lubricate your engine and can cause permanent damage that can only be repaired by an engine rebuild or replacement.
The water pump contains several seals and gaskets that keep coolant enclosed and secure as it flows throughout the engine. As these seals and gaskets age, they will become worn, cracked, and dried out. Once this occurs, the coolant can leak from the water pump.
Coolant leaks from the water pump are common and a clear sign that it`s time to replace the pump. The coolant is stored inside the water pump using a series of gaskets and seals. Once these parts wear out, loosen, or crack, you`ll end up with radiator fluid leaking out of the front of your car toward the center.
You should unclog the weep hole. But a clogged or leaking weep hole means that the water pump has bad seals. It`s better to just replace the entire water pump assembly once you find a clogged weep hole to avoid further issues.

The key difference between hydraulic fluid and hydraulic oil is that hydraulic fluid is used in automatic transmissions in automobile systems whereas hydraulic oil can not be used for this purpose.
General Alternative: Synthetic Oil
Synthetic oil works well as a replacement for the store-bought commercial oil inside your pressure washer pump. It protects the pump from all conditions and reduces oil consumption while also enhancing the pressure washer`s start-up performance.
Generally speaking, SAE 5w-30 or SAE 10w-30 are good grades for pressure washers, but checking your owner`s manual will tell you for sure.
Pump Oil is a premium, professional-grade 10W30 grade non-detergent oil for pressure cleaning systems and other pumps. It is specially formulated for most pressure washer pumps including but not limited to: AR, Admiral, Cat, Comet, General and Hypro.
Experts advise doing an initial oil change after the first 50 hours of pump use. After that, change the crankcase oil every 3 months or after every 500 hours of operation, whichever comes first. High pressure plunger pumps require a specially formulated oil; otherwise regular pump oil is appropriate.
Suitable for use where a straight 15w40 Non-Detergent oil is specified for use in various makes and models of pressure pumps. This high quality oil is blended from virgin base oils and carefully selected additives to help protect washer pumps from corrosion and oxidation.
If the oil pump cover gasket is leaking, it will let a large amount of pressure out of the engine. This can lead to permanent damage if left unaddressed. YourMechanic makes getting repairs to your oil pump cover gasket easy by coming to your home or office to diagnose and fix issues.
The oil pump can last for approximately 60,000 and 70,000 miles with proper maintenance. However, it depends on several factors like driving habits, the quality of your car parts, and so on. Here`s what you can do to increase the lifespan of an oil pump: Pay close attention to the oil pressure gauge.
