Have a snow blower that has model H60 75296H motor. No spark, pulled flywheel, checked coil, reads ok. Cleaned up magnets and contacts, still no spark. Looked at point but how do you test/check them as you have to remove the flywheel to access.

How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?

We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :

Loss of spark is caused by anything that prevents coil voltage from jumping the electrode gap at the end of the spark plug. This includes worn, fouled or damaged spark plugs, bad plug wires or a cracked distributor cap.
If no spark appears, check for broken wires, shorts, grounds or a defective stop switch. Once you have confirmed that the stop switch is working, reconnect the spark plug lead.
Check to see if the switch and terminals are free from rust and replace any damaged or broken spark plugs wires as necessary. Alternatively, it could be a bad ignition module. A simple way of testing the ignition module is to leave the car idling for 30 minutes and then tap the ignition module with a screwdriver.
When couples say they no longer feel a “spark,” it may mean that they`re missing the initial feeling of infatuation or that long-term commitment has become challenging. Meeting your partner and falling in love may have felt exciting, new, and intense. You might have felt that it was the only factor in your life.
Incorrect timing is the most overlooked and misdiagnosed cause of a no-start. Perhaps you automatically think of ignition timing as the position of the crankshaft when the No. 1 plug fires. While this is important, it isn`t the only timing condition that can influence a no-start.
While a CDI box is not the only potential cause of no spark in an engine, it is certainly one possibility. If your engine is not sparking, it may be due to a problem with the CDI box. However, other potential causes of no spark include issues with the ignition coil, spark plug, or wiring.
A Bad Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor

If the crankshaft position sensor has failed completely, it will not send a signal to the (ECU) at all. Then, the computer won`t send any fuel to the injectors. This will leave you unable to start the car.

Runs fine on flat ground will not pull a hill
ANSWER : Sounds like you could be running on one cylinder. I assume you have a two cylinder B&S, Tecumseh, or Kawasaki. Remove one spark plug at a time and try driving the mower. If you have nothing on one spark plug and drives exactly the same with the other, then you have a dead cylinder. Can be a spark problem, unlikely a fuel problem assuming a single carb, a bad head gasket, bent push rods. A lot of B&S Vanguard engines, including mine, have a tendency towards bent push rods.

What is the proper gap of a spark plug on a 28 graham brothers truck
ANSWER : Depends. It depends upon which engine (Dodge six? Dodge eight?) the truck has. It depends upon how much compression the engine has, and upon how strong the coil is. A good starting point would be around 0.035″. If that gap results in a persistent miss, especially at higher engine speeds, try 0.005″ more or less – if the miss gets worse, go the other way. When the plugs fire consistently at all speeds, your gap is “correct”.
