Got new 158cc Briggs & Stratton engine April 2010, Worked well 1 day, with a slow Idel , now its stalls every 10 feet, so I checked under the Airfilter and the governer springs seem to be to big for the carburator. Could they have installed, not the proper springs for my mower. If I bend the spring arm at the end, if help my mower but the speed is way to hi. What wrong with this new mower.

Um if its new take it back before you damage the govenor then its not warrenty!!

the springs are fine. the metal the the spring conects to on the throtle control sets the high speed. dont play with unless you know what your doing for every ones safety
