The product`s model number is essential to finding correct Cub Cadet® genuine factory replacement part numbers for your outdoor power equipment. The Model number is eleven characters long and is printed on the left side of the Product Identification Label.

What year was my equipment built? The 5th character of our 11 character product serial numbers will indicate the last number of the year that it was manufactured. Since 5th character in the example is a 4, the year of manufacture would be a year ending in 4.
The variable valve timing solenoid is located at the front of the engine, typically near the front of the valve cover. Will a malfunctioning Variable Valve Timing Solenoid illuminate the check engine light or affect vehicle operation?

In most cases, the positive wire will be red and the negative wire will be black. Once the wires have been identified, they can be connected to the power source. The positive wire should be connected to the positive terminal, and the negative wire should be connected to the negative terminal.
A failed solenoid may be debilitating for your machinery or manufacturing process but, thankfully, it`s a part that you can often easily repair or replace once you`ve identified the root of the problem.
The solenoid valve is connected to the digital output module of the PLC. A branch cable (spur) is used to connect from the solenoid to the junction box in the field. The main cable (home run) is used to connect from the junction box to the marshalling cabinet in the control room.
Locating the Starter Solenoid

For modern vehicles, the starter solenoid is attached to the starter motor itself. You`ll often find it mounted under the vehicle at the bell housing – where the engine and transmission are joined.

If the starter engages but does not disengage when you let go of the key, the solenoid is likely bad and the starter may suffer significant damage as a result. Sometimes your car starts, sometimes it doesn`t. Intermittent operation can be a sign of a failing starter solenoid.
Touch the metal shaft of a screwdriver to both of the large terminals at the same time. If the engine turns over and starts, the solenoid is bad and should be replaced. If the starter motor does not run, the motor itself is probably defective.
