Husqvarna two stroke engines are designed to run on clean, fresh, unleaded petrol. A fuel / oil ratio of 50:1 is recommended for all Husqvarna 2-stroke products.
Be sure to use 89 octane or higher unleaded fuel. For best results, use Husqvarna brand two-stroke engine oil that if FD certified. Always mix gasoline and oil in a clean fuel container, not in the chainsaw`s fuel tank. Fill half the amount of gasoline to be used.
The correct mixing ratio for your Husqvarna is detailed in the warranty handbook. As a general guide, a fuel / oil ratio of 50:1 is recommended in Husqvarna products up to and including 75cc. In certain heavy use applications, models above 75cc may be run on a mix of 33:1.
Correct Gap
The gap between the spark plug`s center electrode and outer electrode should be set at 0.02 inch, or 0.5 millimeter, for most Husqvarna trimmer models. On some newer models, the company recommends a slightly larger gap of 0.024 inch, or 0.6 millimeter.
A: This spark plug should have a gap set to 0.02 inches.
The critical distance between the spark plug`s electrode and the ground strap (that piece of steel that curves out over the end of the plug) is called the “plug gap.” The act of setting this distance correctly is commonly referred to as “gapping” your plugs.

Husqvarna uses as a standard driver width . 058 and Stihl uses . 063, so the Stihl chain won`t fit into the Husqvarna bar groove. There are other options and driver sizes, but again we won`t discuss that here for the purpose of keeping this instructable simple and not confusing.
The letters on the screws represent High (H), Low (L) and Idle (T). The H screw regulates the Air/Fuel mix during high RPMs, while the L Screw does the same during low RPMs. The T screw regulates how much fuel is sent to the carburettor while idling until the throttle is pressed.
Most modern chainsaws, string trimmers, leaf blowers and other small-engine two-stroke equipment recommend a 50:1 oil mix ratio, but some recommend 40:1 and older two-stroke equipment might even call for 32:1.
