How to Identify and Fix Common Gardening Problems ?
We provide a variety of viewpoints on how to identify and fix common gardening problems. Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced gardeners :
MTD two-cycle snow throwers use a 50:1 ratio of gasoline to 2-cycle oil, which is one gallon of gasoline to 2.5 oz of 2-cycle oil.
A 123cc Powermore engine with a 21-inch clearing width and 13-inch intake height will effectively handle up to 6-inches of snowfall. Efficiently clear paths with 9-inch steel augers built for durability.
Loose, Dirty or Disconnected Spark Plug in Your Lawn Mower: Check it out, clean off debris, re-connect and tighten. Dirty Air Filter: Clean or replace. Fuel Not Reaching the Engine: Tap the side of the carburetor to help the flow of gas. If this doesn`t work, you might need a new fuel filter.
Modern snowblowers are made with 4-stroke engines, but if you have a cherished snowblower from years ago, you`ve dealt with trying to get the perfect fuel mixture for a 2-stroke engine.
From racing motorcycles to passenger cars, 4-stroke oils power the engines of various vehicle types. Unlike 2-stroke engine oils, 4-stroke ones do not burn with the fuel. Instead, they go around the engine. While circulating, the oil lubricates the moving engine parts, disperses heat, and eliminates impurities.
You definitely don`t want to run to the hardware store during a blizzard. Most snowblowers come with a small bottle of oil good for only 1 gallon of gas. We know as well as you do that a single gallon of mixed fuel isn`t enough to get through the winter. We recommend ordering a six-pack of 2-cycle engine oil instead.
Since snow blowers operate exclusively in cold weather, they typically use SAE 5W-30 weight oil, which ensures the engine will start in cold weather. Make sure to check the maintenance section of the snow blower`s operating manual for the proper oil weight.
The snow blower shovel uses no gas or electricity and is equipped with a snowblower auger on it that auto-rotate as you push the shovel along the ground and then pushes the snow to the side of the shovel as you walk.
Because snow blowers are used in cold weather, a battery would not function well. Therefore, it`s necessary to plug it in to use the electric start. As a back-up, electric start snow blowers also come equipped with backup recoil starters.
First step, check the fuel tank to make sure there is enough fuel to operate your snow blower. You should see fuel slosh around. Second step, check the spark plug. A wet plug means there`s fuel going through the fuel system and there may be an issue with the ignition.
Electric start (also known as key start or push button start) is a lawnmower feature found on petrol lawnmowers, which allows you to start the engine at the push of a button or the turn of a key instead of pulling a recoil starter rope.
When a mower is working correctly, releasing the bail lever turns off the mower. If your mower doesn`t have a bail lever, then the throttle lever doubles as the on-off control.

ANSWER : Sounds like the engine needs oil. You can also spray WD40 around the shaft. This will help loosen it up a bit, perhaps enough to allow it to start. The other possibility is that you have something wrapped around the shaft that is causing a restriction to the pulley.
Hope this helps.
