Fuel leaking from the carburetor intake of a weed eater can be caused by a few different issues, but the most common one is a faulty needle valve in the carburetor. The needle valve controls the flow of fuel into the carburetor, and if it`s not working properly, fuel can leak out of the carburetor intake.
it`s likely that the carburetor Bowl gasket is worn out or missing. you can replace the gasket with a new one to solve the problem. various float assembly components. inside the carburetor bowl can be defective as well the float needle opens.
Too much oil will bog down the engine and the governor will send more fuel and air in to compensate, generating more heat than the engine can dispose of when under-revving. Drain some out.
The most common problem with a strimmer not starting is that there`s a problem with the fuel mix. Double check that you`ve used 40 parts fresh unleaded petrol to 1 part 2-stroke oil (40:1). Check the petrol you`ve used isn`t stale.
Without lubricating oil, the engine can malfunction in just a few minutes, and you may even end up destroying the motor completely.
Your edger`s fuel lines carry fuel from the tank to the carburetor. Sometimes these fuel lines can become cracked and weathered, and this can lead to a fuel leak. Occasionally, the fuel clamps on your lines will need tightening, and this can solve the problem.
Diesel or gassy cannabis strains are usually extremely potent in smell and taste. And their loud, jet fuel flavor is usually followed by an extremely long-lasting high.
“Burping” cannabis nugs refers to the process of allowing moisture and CO₂ to escape from the sealed jars that nugs are cured in. This process relieves gaseous pressure and remove potentially harmful moisture from the curing environment. Burping is essential to curing potent and delicious buds.
Using a weed-eater in the rain or in damp conditions doesn`t pose as much of a threat because the tool itself cannot conduct electricity – it`s the electrical cord that can.

Try loosening the gas cap to relieve any pressure, then tightening it back up. Usually you will just need to barely unscrew it and then screw it back even before you pull the rope.

Your fuel lines are probably old & brittel they are the first thing to leak on those sometimes they leak around the tank but they are really thin lines & they get hot from engine heat & dry rot easly replace both lines from carb to tank & the leak will be gone most lines are 1/4 lines in most cases
My weed eater hedge trimmer runs for about 10 minutes and cuts off. It seems as though it is flooded, because it won’t start again until some time later. But it continues with the same pattern. I purchased a can of premixed gas/oil to make sure it was my mixture, to no avail. I have not replaced the spark plug yet, but I don’t think that has anything to do with it. Do you have any suggestions?
The plug can be the problem but also the air mix as well get the best plug you can

Sounds like you have dirt/debris in your carburetor jets, fuel passages or a diaphgram that is becoming non-flexible.Be sure to check your fuel tank for water and dirt/debris, if there is water/debris then you need to clean your tank. Also check you fuel lines condition after a while they will degrade and need replacment. If you do replace your fuel lines be sure to draw on a piece of paper the routing of the fuel lines for later attachment to the correct connection.
Make sure you are getting spark at the spark plug, to do this:Remove your spark plug and check to be sure you are getting fire at the spark plug. You do this by grounding the plug on the head of the engine and pulling the crank rope, if you are getting spark then:Check/Clean/Replace your fuel filter if you have one, normally they are located in the fuel tank of weedeaters. Also make sure you are using fresh fuel…and oil mix if your using a two cycle mower or weedeater with the oil to the right mixture and not too much oil as it can cause hard starting. If the mower/weedeater is over a couple of years old, then I recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank.Sounds like you will need to clean the carburetor or replace your carburetor internal rubber parts like the diaphgram and O rings.I recommend that you use a laquer thinner type cleaner to clean and dissolve the laquer build-up in the float and needle jet passages.Be sure to remove all plastic and rubber parts before using the laquer thinner because it can dissolve the plastic parts and render them unuseable.Be sure to use compressed air to blow out all the fuel and air passages.Be careful when blowing out the passages, because there are sometimes small rubber type seats in the bottom of some of the passages.Sometimes you can get by with priming the carburetor or using starting fluid and letting it run a few times like that and it will flush the gunk out of the jets, but most of the time you will need to rebuild the carburetor.Keep in mind that the float (if you have one) for the carburetor must be level when you go to reassemble the carburetor or follow the instructions you get with the carburetor kit. When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, you will first need to lightly seat the jet screws. But before you lightly seat the jet screws count the number of turns it takes to seat the jet screws from their original position.Be sure to mark the turns down on a piece of paper. That way when you put the jets back in, you know to lightly seat them first and then turn them back out to their orginal position before you started.Once you have your carburetor rebuilt that should solve your problem.
