Being unable to get your electric lawnmower started is often not a problem with the lawnmower, but is usually caused by a fault with the extension lead being used. To test this try turning the lawnmower on without using the extension lead. If this doesn`t work try using an alternative plug socket and checking the fuse.
We recommend repairs to only be carried out as directed by the instruction manual, however, if you feel that there are still problems, you can visit a repair agent and get you back to mowing in no time. You can also visit the Flymo spare parts shop to help get your mower`s mojo back.
Your Mower Won`t Start:

Other possible causes include: Loose, Dirty or Disconnected Spark Plug in Your Lawn Mower: Check it out, clean off debris, re-connect and tighten. Dirty Air Filter: Clean or replace. Fuel Not Reaching the Engine: Tap the side of the carburetor to help the flow of gas.

To start it again, simply press the GO & confirm buttons to continue mowing to the set schedule.
Thus, checking the belt path can help determine if the belt is jammed, twisted, or stuck under the pulley. These problems can cause electric lawn mower blades not spinning. Besides, worn or damaged belts can be the cause. When checking belts, look for any visible signs of damage, such as cracks or fraying.
The purpose of the Capacitor is to reduce mains interference from the motor being radiated through the supply and when the Capacitor fails it will blow the mains fuse or show signs of burning. As an essential part of its electrical system, a working capacitor keeps your device working consistently.
If the riding mower makes a heavy clicking or a rapid clattering sound when the key is turned to the start position, there is a problem with the battery or a part of the starting circuit. The clicking noise comes from a part called the starter solenoid.

I have a 22inch Craftsman Hedge Trimmer, Model No. 315.81591. When trimming a hedge near a chain-link fence, one of the steel links from the fence got caught between the blade guard and the cutter blade. Now the cutter blade won’t move, but the trimmer buzzes. Is the trimmer repairable? If it is repairable, how do I repair it?
ANSWER : The likely issue is the gear pin has been sheared. The part is no longer available from Craftsman. (P/N from sears: 616255-001)I had a similar issue with a similar electric trimmer. I removed the old pin and used a split pin and ground it down to the proper size. It’s now worked for about 2 years just fine. This requires complete dis-assembly.

When in operation the Ryobi S430 string trimmer leaks oil continuously. How can I fix this problem?
ANSWER : Ryobi told me the unit can’t have the s430 trimmer bottom end raised higher than the engine at any time, or it will leak. Apparently they released a product to compete with other companies for cheap 4 cycle trimmers without much care for the end user.
